Glyn Davis to quit as the prime minister’s top public servant

Your heading We know how the system is supposed to work but doesn't mean to say it does. Bureaucrats pass on information or don't & who knows if it is correct when they pass to the politicians.

Major bank threatens account closure over unexplained home cash

Sometimes banks can overstep though- early last month on a Friday I went on line to send flowers (to another town within the State) to a family who had just lost a family member . I used my credit card & "it failed" so I thought I had made a mistake & re did the transaction. Again I got the same...

Major bank threatens account closure over unexplained home cash

I have had Centrelink in the past ask why we withdrew a few thousand dollars (not big amounts). Our money for expenses and loans for our children. I still make withdrawals of cash (thousands at a time - we do have a safe) I don't trust the government - look what happened in Canada during the so...

‘Our design costs the taxpayer nothing’: Is this the $5 redesign Australia should get behind?

I am English by birth & a monarchist through and through. I am no fan of Charles but he is my King so I respect him. People forget that Diana had numerous affairs. I do not condone what either Charles or Diana did but as far as smashing up 2 families & screwing up his sons - I don't agree with...

‘Our design costs the taxpayer nothing’: Is this the $5 redesign Australia should get behind?

Not costing anything as the AML group has done the design for free otherwise I would say leave the same as the $5 note and just change the Queen for the King but that will cost money and the RBA has spent enough taking the Queen off. The RBA hasn't got anything to do with housing.

You won’t believe what one driver found on a remote Aussie road–here’s why it matters

That includes chopping trees down for the stupid wind turbines. I get so annoyed of all the trees being chopped down - where are the GREENS - they are supposed to be for the environment but no they want to wreck the environment to get to Zero omissions. Doesn't make sense to me.

Is Australia saying goodbye to coins? Here’s what the Mint is planning next

Banks now have plastic coin bags. I don't think any use the paper wrappers anymore. I think that is disgusting if a bank charges for counting coins -they all have machines and isn't that 1 of the jobs of a teller? To count money!

Is Australia saying goodbye to coins? Here’s what the Mint is planning next

I pay cash for most shopping. I also keep a few hundred $$ bagged coins that I keep on hand for floats for raffles, 100 Club, Trivia nights etc so I know I have them there and don't have to go running off to the Bank. Also if they cease minting coins what will we do with our coin collections? No...

so are you saying the Australia Bureau of Statistics are incorrect but the MSM is telling the truth with the fear tactics once again? I thought most people were awake now that the conspiracy theories from 2020 - 2023 had been proven correct.

Whooping cough makes record-breaking outbreak in 2024—are you at risk?

So that means you have immunity to whooping cough. The more members of the herd (community), who were exposed to an infectious disease and developed natural immunity to it the less of a threat that disease posed to the entire herd (community). This same concept does not work in a highly...

Whooping cough makes record-breaking outbreak in 2024—are you at risk?

Take a quick trip over to the Australia Bureau of Statistics and have look at how many people really die each year from this 'deadly' disease called whooping cough. You'll be shocked. Here are the actual figures, without the media hype: 2006 - 3 deaths no data 2007 - 0 deaths 5379 cases...
