Are the new seatbelt fines fair? Drivers say the system is flawed and it's costing them big

I had a broken sternum because of the seatbelt I was wearing. But had I not been wearing it, I very well could have snapped my neck or spine when the van I was driving flipped over. Luckily I was alone. I had numerous other breaks and injuries, but I survived the accident and I know it was due...

Think you could tell? Disturbing details expose how hijacking plot on an Aussie plane nearly unfolded

I’m not offended at all. I’ve travelled around the world as well and lived in other countries. But I don’t base my opinion of airport security on a few incidents. I’ve had good and bad experiences in many airports over the years, including Australia.

Hospital pneumonia kills Wollongong man waiting for aged care bed

VAD is so much more humane than letting someone suffer so terribly when there’s no cure or relief. The worst part is for the loved ones left behind. But it’s our right to decide about how we need to be treated. I agree with @Liz, I’m glad you’re pig headed and stubborn, @gamiry. 💝

Locals stood tall against McDonald’s—and showed the power of community isn’t lost

Apparently they were replaced (don’t know what year) by McDonald’s!! Intersection of Geelong Road, Somerville Road and Roberts Street in West Footscray ... Coffee stalls were a popular part of Melbourne nightlife. I Googled Sam’s Coffee Pot and this was from Facebook.

What makes you think it’s only “old people who get miserable and critical”? Sure, some are but so are some younger people too. I wasn’t questioning your children’s behaviour. And no one I know of likes to be around unruly children. But your comparison between “well behaved dogs” and “screaming...

When technology gets too clever for its own good: Why 'Mitchell' is now a dirty word according to this fast food chain’s computer

Yes, yes! “Woke” and “bespoke”. Grrr. Woke = awakened. That’s the only way I take notice of its meaning. As for “bespoke”, that’s used by and about pretentious beings and things.

Café dog sparks heated debate over dining rules that every pet owner needs to know

You’re making an absurd comparison. “well behaved dogs” and “screaming kids running around”. To be fair, what about barking dogs running around and well behaved kids??
