Funding rules shift as NDIS restructures support framework

Hi Vicki, I agree with you that there are many people out there who abuse the system & do not deserve it as much as others like yourself. However, I have known all my life that I was gradually getting older & knew that the day would come when I would struggle with stairs etc. That is why I...

Funding rules shift as NDIS restructures support framework

I honestly think that there are far too many people on disability. You were depressed 30 years ago & still on disability? And there are thousands like that out there taking advantage of the scheme. I think everyone should be reassessed yearly or every 2 years & not by the same people. Many...

Coles rolls out simple solution to resolve shopping frustration

It doesn't say that they are charging $2 for the boxes. They say you can take them & return them if you wish

Coles rolls out simple solution to resolve shopping frustration

I have previously made comment on this site re the use of the cardboard cartons for packing groceries instead of the bags. The cartons they are referring to are not very deep, so won't suit everything, but it is a great start.

Big issue with Coles and Woolworths that baffles millions of customers!

Why are the supermarkets not using the boxes that they unpack the stock from? They are free to the customer, it saves wastage from the supermarket & also time for one of the workers to crush them. There are a few shops throughout the country areas in Qld that use the boxes for peoples groceries...

Heartbreaking loss: Woman loses $50,000 after online boyfriend disappears

I can not believe that a person could be so naive as to send that much money to a person that they have never meet. They deserve to lose their money.

Aussie mum's shopping trip turns controversial after this man's comment

In this situation I would have tried to keep my calm, smiled said sorry I offended you. Then turned the table on him & said Oh by the way your fly is undone. Watch him stomp off red faced & spluttering quickly after than!;)

Ex-police officer falls victim to impersonation scam: Police advise what to watch out for!

I had a call from 'supposedly' the fraud branch of my bank telling me that a certain person had withdrawn money from my account & set up an ongoing direct debit payment. They wanted to know all my details, but I thought it was a bit fishy. I told them so & asked for their phone number & I will...

Pack your patience: Mum’s simple self-serve solution sparks checkout chatter

& it took you how many years to figure that out? I do it the majority of the time, have done for years, even at a serviced checkout. Mainly because I nearly always buy more than I went in for & secondly because I nearly always forget my shopping bags. I have about 5000 of them but still forget...

Pensioners may get a $780 Centrelink boost through one bold move

Can someone please explain to me why non home owners, who only have the responsibility of rent & essentials to pay, are granted a greater allowance of (assets) money than home owners who have rates, repairs, insurance & upkeep of their property that they have paid for over many years or still...

Healthcare system faces scrutiny after heartbreaking ambulance delay leads to loss

If there were not so many time wasters calling 000 for non-urgent matters the shortage problem for ambulances would be much less & the ramping at hospitals waiting for the patient to be handed over would be much faster. Not perfect but it would make a difference. With the influx of people who...

Shocking police assault underscores urgent need for aged care reform

I bet the police won't want to do their duty & come to your house next time they are called after the charges against the previous officers.

'Trapped in poverty'? New statistics reveal grim picture for Centrelink users

You think Australia is going to be better by paying people who don't want to work? We have to depend on backpackers to do the work that these lazy Australians or people living here won't do? Wake up to yourself

'Trapped in poverty'? New statistics reveal grim picture for Centrelink users

Centrelink payments are not a wage which many long termers treat it as their right to receive. It is the working people of Australia paying for that 'wage' which is so easily received. There are too many factors to be considered about changing this so called right but someone should start...

This mum makes drastic measures for her family despite earning $140,000: ‘We desperately needed to make a change’

I think these days that we all need a budget of some sort. $140,000 is not a small amount to be earning & I am not targeting you, but so many starting out have at least 2 cars, a trailer, some have caravans, boats, motorbikes, a TV in every room, at least a 4 b/room house with at least 2...

    Milk at school

Ours was left in the sun until "little lunch". By then it was as hot as & made many bring it back up. Those nasty nuns made us drink every sip even if we were gagging. Stupid g'ment decision
