‘Spent over $100k’: The costly fight over barking dogs that divided a local neighbourhood

The only way people could know where the barking is coming from is to be around the property. People used to think my dog was barking at night but she sleeps with me every night. Turned out it was coming from the house across the road. I never had anyone make a formal complaint to the council...

Former Hollywood star resurfaces after stepping away from show business. Why?

I've treasured all the animals that have been in my life and I've learned a lot from each one. Soxy is a Pomeranian X Maltese/Shihtzu who was given to me by my late husband. I get so depressed when I lose a pet and go through the process of blaming myself, why couldn't I save them and then it...

Shop's controversial policy splits Aussies online! See why it sparked a gender divide

I don't see anything wrong with this because I don't believe men are allowed in a place where women get certain areas waxed. Maybe have an area closed off for women waiting for their men who are getting haircuts.

The government wants to contain NDIS growth. But ineligible people with disability also need support

Why would the government want to prioritise the NDIS when they need to line their pockets and the pockets of their well off friends? They need to cancel politicians pensions and extra benefits and stop accepting illegal immigrants. They are giving these illegal immigrants a house, pension and...

Daughter laments over mum's 'devastating' condition after working in this facility

My late mother was not the best at keeping her house clean towards the end. If she had diarrhoea instead of cleaning up what she could, she would leave it to the carer who came in twice a week. She was also told to smoke outside where they'd set a little area for her but instead she continued to...

TV stars mourn beloved companion in touching social media tributes

So sad to hear when our favourite actors pass away, both human and animal. RIP Buddy.

Out-of-pocket medical costs are ‘stacking one on top of the other’: Is your specialist bill creeping toward $300?

This is why I cancelled my specialist appointment because I couldn't spare the money. I live in constant pain because I also couldn't afford the pain medication I was meant to be on.

A $1,000 Centrelink boost is coming to rural seniors - will the fortnightly support be enough?

It's a pity more farmers don't know about this. It could ease their stress knowing this is available and could also stop farmers committing suicide knowing someone has their back. They need to know they have nothing to be ashamed of.

Report reveals hidden Telstra tax, adds nearly $1000 for premium users

I live in a country area in WA and Telstra is the only service that I can rely on. Tried Optus once, years ago and it still doesn't work in all areas. It's worth me staying Telstra so that I know I'm covered.

Last Eungella dairy farm closing as milk becomes 'cheaper than water'

It's such a shame to hear they will be closing their doors because they aren't getting the support they used to. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours, whatever they may be.

You won't believe what happened when this landlord caught his tenant breaking the no-pet rule!

I used to live in a flat with my boyfriend. He was away for 2 - 3 months at a time shearing. We talked about it and decided to get a cat so we spoke to our landlord. He wanted to know what we were getting and when I explained we just wanted a Siamese cat he just set down some rules. It was...

Caught in the act: Family demands mystery pooper clean up or face the consequences

They could have reported her to the police. I would have waited to see if she came back and did it again. If so then I would have hosed down where she had done this and her as well.

Government reveals plans for superannuation amid Albanese's second term. Will these policies affect you soon?

It won't affect Albanese or his friends, that's for sure. He just wants to ruin Australians lives so he can profit more.

Aussie man helps out, receives $25,000 fine over property changes

The council should have been doing more themselves. What if an animal had been caught and subsequently died because of the barb wire? If it was on his land then that shouldn't have been as issue.

TODAY show joke sparks outrage as controversial video triggers backlash

I have had a few encounters with wild animals but I will do one of 2 things. I will either stand very still until it has gone or I will walk away backwards but slowly. If I see an animal is injured I'll stay there until help arrives. I'll never watch this show if this is their attitude to animals.
