Major driving licence update may affect over one million Aussie drivers

Yeah newbies. I got a bike licence many decades ago, this wasn't in force then, but it came out later. Don't know the details but I got in on the older system so it didn't affect me

There is a restriction that you can only have a 250cc bike, it does go up, not sure how long or what you have to do.

I have a pilots licence, there are many stages to get to be able to fly anything. A basic licence mean you can fly, carry passengers, but not charge them, but you can split the costs. There is also retractable undercarriage rating, variable pitch propeller rating, multiple engine rating, IFR...

Aussie state drives green: Wheels of change roll out with new registration system

The interesting thing here is I never mentioned EV's or the environment. Here's a benefit for everyone. Where do we get the largest proportion of our fuel from? It's called OPEC, so where does a great proportion of the money go? OPEC. Here's a prediction, there will come a time that a tipping...

Aussie state drives green: Wheels of change roll out with new registration system

The idea is to get manufacturers to produce better cars, you know the ones they sell overseas, instead of using Australia as a dumping ground. There's 2 countries that don't do this, Russia and us.

Never even mentioned EV's. I can't afford one either.

Aussie state drives green: Wheels of change roll out with new registration system

Considering there are 2 countries in the world that don't do this, (hint, we're one of them) and that includes Russia. I have no issue with this. We are getting dirty cars dumped on our shores.

Outrage as speed cameras destroy Aussie lawns - is your neighborhood next?

As an ex postie it can be very difficult to access a letter box due to how it was set up. Ask your postie where to install it. When I was building my house even though I was a postie and had a pretty good idea where to put it, I still asked my postie to plan it. It works and nobody drives over...

‘Something has got to give’: Pensioners won’t call ambulances due to cost of living crisis

My ex is a car worker and goes to people houses for their care. Many times she is in a position of needing an ambulance for her clients. But they refuse citing costs. A number of years ago if an ambulance came and didn't take you to hospital but treated you on the spot was free. That went away...

'End of his career?': Aussie celebrity warns social media users over fake headline

It's not about them, it's about the people who get scammed by these fake ads. I'm with you, I don't care much about celebrities. I care about the little man who get's scammed. I've got an elderly friend of the family who got badly scammed a few years ago when all this was fairly new.

Mail mayhem: Dad's delivery debacle stirs up the suburbs

Why would you do that? You want to look through, fine. I don't, I have had instances where it's been jammed in, it's gotten wet from the rain and the postie can't deliver the mail I actually want. So if you're a deliverer, then I hope you don't do my address.

Mail mayhem: Dad's delivery debacle stirs up the suburbs

Whenever we get a new pamphlet delivery person I get pamphlets, even though I've got a "No Junk Mail" on the box. It's not hard to not deliver, so don't. I have had to resort to ringing the parent company, or chasing the deliverers up the street.
