More grievances against prosthetic eye maker Jack McDonald's work

A few years ago a guy was shot in one eye and had to have what was left of it removed. He was given an eye but his body rejected it. Maybe it was a donor eye.

‘Don’t wait’: Big change coming for caravan owners—here’s what you need to know

Smoke alarms are normally fitted to "ceilings" I doubt there is much gap between it and the roof. Maybe it overheated - a strong possibility in hot weather. I reckon it should be compulsory to have a fire extinguisher which must be suitable for electric fires and at least one fire blanket.

Banking used to be a teller, a cuppa, and a chat…now it’s a chatbot and ‘press 9 to hold’

Why can't banks, instead of being closed completely reduce the number of days they are open instead of closing completely?? Inconvenience is better than no service at all.

Are You Making This Sock-Washing Mistake? Microbiologist Exposes the Shocking Truth—And Why You Should Always Iron Your Socks

Most socks would burn or melt if ironed. They all have at least some synthetic "fabric" in them e.g. elastic will melt if water is too hot, Good luck finding 100% cotton or woollen socks. In SA Police will attend after a certain time. We had an incident up the street where people were up on a roof jumping around yelling so loud that people 3 streets away reported it. One night the Police attended and made some people leave. Problem was they returned awhile after the Police. One...

I know of parking inspectors who have actually been assaulted for tampering with a car. They had previously been warned...

‘Please make yourself available’ or pay up to $330—the rental threat no tenant should ignore

To the best of my knowledge it is compulsory for smoke alarms to be tested. It is an obligation to ensure the property is protected to lessen the risk of people not being alerted. It could be an insurance obligation too. Do you want a complete stranger to have access when you are not home...
