‘That’s the problem with being too nice’: Aussie mum’s generosity backfires

When we were building about 16 years ago l had to put a disc in the tap off the mains when l saw a bricklayer from the next street filling up 40 litre plastic bottles & taking them home. The disc stopped him in his tracks. His next antic was to take milk crates from a site up from ours. I had...

Don't procedures uch as any operation come under the heading of Duty of Care? Every surgeon carries LIABILITY INSURANCE to cover such situations but l guess if this got out it might harm his / her business resulting in loss of income. Best not admit liability.

Walk with Caution: The Shocking 'Filthy' Discovery at This Beloved Lakeside Park Revealed!

The action of closing the toilet block surely borders on insanity??? I wonder if people will be told to take a plastic bag with them, empty their bowels into the bag, which has been placed on the ground for this purpose, wrap it up & take the mess with them. Not sure where people would then...

Attention Aussie Drivers: Could This Obscure Law Cost You $410? Find Out Why!

Everytime we have gone out on a coach with our Social Club in W.A. for the past 10 years or more, every passenger is required to use the supplied seat belt. The driver even carries an extension for the larger passengers, as seen on aircrafts.

Make money from rubbish—new recycling scheme launches soon

I've seen several gents going around looking in recycling bins on the verge & removing cans. Some of these people have quite a stash when I've seen them around midday. Quite a lucrative business for them. (I wonder if they have problems with one person entering someone else's territory?).

This young woman's horrendous experience leads to warning for Aussies on the road

Used to see them resting on car boots a lot when l was younger, don't see it much now. I would have taken the same action as you. Just too lazy to put their feet on the ground for support when at a standstill.

This young woman's horrendous experience leads to warning for Aussies on the road

Perhaps but comments on a RAC survey show going between vehicles is legal but l believe should be outlawed for safety reasons. (I suppose a nasty person, driver or passenger, could open a door just as the rider reached that point. TALK ABOUT ROAD RAGE!)

Big change coming to iconic café chain and what it means for your favourite treats

I believe the fact the the remaining franchises are being given the opportunity to change is positive. They just need to modify the business & keep trading. At least they then still have a business, with some hard yakka.

This young woman's horrendous experience leads to warning for Aussies on the road

In W.A. drivers must pass a cyclist with @ least 1 metre clearance. On a dual lane road this means using the 2nd lane & applies to motorcycles too of course. Motorcycles have a right to a lane on their own. Apparently riding between cars on a motorcycle is legal here. HOW CAN THEY HAVE IT...

‘Do you know how hot it is?!’: Explosive argument over dog in parked car divides the internet

Definitely not an animal lover, as she claims to be. I DID NOTICE THE CUP WAS LESS THAN HALF FULL OF LIQUID. HOW LONG WOULD THAT SUFFICE A THIRSTY ANIMAL IN A VERY HOT CAR? (with windows down or not) Last year a carer left his 'handicapped charge' in a car with windows up & with his seat belt...
