Retiring But Not Relaxing: Australia’s Age Pension Maze

True, having done income tax online, they already know what u have, but unlike the UK, NZ here Centrelink don't have permission to access that data. Politicians are now similar to everyone else, except they're at 15% super contributions, and can work while accessing it over I think 57.

Nurse pieces life together after losing her life savings: 'My days are basically taken up'

It makes one wonder what security there is at all and why such slack operations are not responsible and penalised for it. In time it is probable everyone will be a victim of this type of scam and it will become the norm rather than the exception.

Energy companies hide key facts as households pay more than needed

66% of past governance was the Coalition, who did nothing, Howard allowed China to buy at 1990s prices till 2031 and that is just one ridiculous contract.

Energy companies hide key facts as households pay more than needed

Maybe we should be buying our gas from Japan, because most of the suppliers are probably foreign owned anyway. Our successive Govt. leaders have allowed such a situation to exist, and from what I see propose to allow this situation to even expand. We don't need Trump's deals when we have even...

‘It needs a system that will work for everyone’: Uproar over $89-a-night camping plan

This will just destroy camping out, it makes a mockery of wanting people to experience the outdoors as a getaway. Parks and reserves will just become unsustainable and disappear.

Famous actor found guilty of serious charges impacting his career

I am not shocked by this, it is a generational thing imo, but slowly the neanderthals are changing from what was essentially accepted behaviour particularly among these celebrities which is a good thing. Assault/abuse is no longer tolerated on anyone.

'Dishonest, arrogant, entitled': One driver's stunt leads to a council investigation

I think it is resourceful but cheeky one has to use every advantage in some situations, I doubt this would be tolerated for long, but all those advocating violence should be reported as well.

Parking here could cost you $660—avoid this costly mistake

It wouldn't have anything to do with councils these days approving dwellings without adequate parking would it? Many of the subdivisions/developments these days mirror the UK village roads crammed with cars because they were designed in the days when noone had cars or with poky little driveways...

Pensioners may benefit from $4,000 boost from Centrelink soon. Here's how to qualify

It is $433/wk or as a couple $45kpa tax free, not sure what makes one think they deserve more, to assume paying taxes and that they would just sit there waiting for U to retire while using the services they provided you with is just laughable. The Age pension was only ever a stop gap for people...
