My advisor notified me of this and we have used it to help my daughter qualify for a loan some yrs ago.

‘The new super tax has been designed to excuse long-serving politicians': And it’s causing outrage

Anyone arguing only politicians avoid the tax are wrong ex politicians and PMs do too, and Judges, the Military, around 1m in total, but it is not as simple as it seems, this is because defined benefit pensions don’t accumulate in the same way as standard super funds. There’s no actual fund...

Is YOUR retirement at risk? What wealthy Aussies are asking about Albanese's new super tax laws

That still doesn't change the fact, that no one knows what the rules will be in 40yrs time, likewise, it wasn't me who stated, "Even worse that it will eventually affect everyone in years to come!", clearly it won't affect us.

Is YOUR retirement at risk? What wealthy Aussies are asking about Albanese's new super tax laws

Like the aged pension, those without enough super because they chose to will soon hold their hand out to the Govt. tho to survive. What happens in years to come no one knows, that is a copout, and to say the rules will be the same in 30-40yrs time is a lie. I don't know, public hospital doctors...

Wine is still Australia’s most popular alcoholic drink – but many producers face an uncertain future

While many enjoy a glass or two, it's hardly a staple, and beer is more likely the choice for many too imo. Much of what is produced here is for OS markets, not domestic.

Is YOUR retirement at risk? What wealthy Aussies are asking about Albanese's new super tax laws

Ur suggestion that the battlers should continue to support the wealthy with benefits is misguided imo. This is already in mid to late 80s and this change to super was first proposed by the Turnbull Govt, and the cap was $500k, they never wanted super at all except for themselves.

Is YOUR retirement at risk? What wealthy Aussies are asking about Albanese's new super tax laws

How do u know what the rules will be in 40yrs time, that is a copout. This change is not just for the betterment of Govt coffers, but most taxpayers too.

No plastics allowed: Surprising ways to lower 'forever chemicals' exposure in Australia

Cairns mayor accused of 'chilling' debate amid proposed 800pc retirement village rate hike

Only in QLD, "In most retirement villages in Australia, residents do not pay council rates directly. Instead, these are often included in the ongoing service or maintenance fees that cover various services provided by the village, such as landscaping, community facilities, and general upkeep."...

Cheap country homes face rising risk as insurance vanishes in key areas

This is not new few home insurances for those within cooee of the ocean include flood, unless requested, and then read the small print of what constitutes flood. Councils play a big part in where they allow subdivisions or people to build and imo for decades they have shirked their duty.

Seniors in the red: Over one million Aussies max out credit cards amid cost-of-living crunch

I would like to know how "For retirees on an Age Pension or fixed super drawdowns, the pressure is intense. Groceries, power bills, insurance and medical costs have jumped far faster than pensions." these people get CCs while on fixed incomes. I doubt many +67s are a very big part of this trend...

Try new ‘alcohol alternative’ at Woolworths—know key facts first

From what I have been reading recently regarding the poor standard of Australian's mental health issues, perhaps this is just what the doctor ordered imo. Something needs to be done about the apparently thousands of ECTs against people's will reports etc.

Scott Morrison receives country's highest honour for leading Australia through COVID crisis

Typical the Royals love a dodgy rogue that can get off Scott free with murder. Apart from his other unlawful misdemeanours just the $38b overpayment for jobkeeper should have precluded him. Our worst ineffective PM ever.
