New Minister for Ageing: What It Means for Older Australians’ Health, Care and Finances

I thought exactly that! How ridiculous! They wouldn't be old enough to have aging parents in need of care. We gained so much experience after having elderly parents go through the age care system & now we are heading there. Frightening! The system is still a mess.

Is this bed trick 'crazy'? Man shares his unusual bed-making technique online

We leave our bed covers down all day to air out. We only make it when having visitors or going away. They need to be aired out especially when it's been a warm night & your body sweats. Also we open the windows to let in fresh air.

Traveller learns the reality about his quaint stopover: 'It's not something I would support'

Have been there a number of times when visiting Katoomba & did not know this. Great atmosphere & the foods good. I'm not sure I would go back after reading this. 🤔

Are Australia's banking services changing soon? Bank chief reveals monumental changes ahead

Just look what happened in Spain & Portugal. Complete blackout across the whole of the country. It would be foolish to get rid of cash altogether. And if so get rid of fees on transactions. A complete rip off. I still use both. Always have cash in case of emergency.

Major event??? I'm starting to wonder where the leanings are of people who run this site. This story is not interesting for us seniors. We'll not for this senior anyway!

Proposed Medicare reforms spark discussions online. Can these proposals help Aussie seniors' healthcare concerns?

Just read some of the replies here. I think you are outvoted by some well thought out replies. As for being left with a deficit. That was primarily due to covid & extra spending. This is the first deficit Labor has been left with in how many elections?? Usually it's Labor wasting money & leaving...

I am not happy with this site stirring up one sided political views! It's not what is needed here. Especially when it's old news! Just stick to what you are good at.

Woman uses expensive lipstick in shocking act, sparking uproar

It's payback to their underhanded methods they used during the last election. This is nothing compared to what they (the Teals) did last election! We saw it first hand in our old electorate of Nth Sydney. One was removing posters for the local liberal candidate. They (the Teals) were financed by...

    General Discussion Thread 26.03.25

This budget has me very concerned! Lots of big spending which is so typical of Labor trying to buy votes. I feel for our kids as they will be paying our debt off for many years to come.
