‘It’d be like stealing a cross off a 1974 milk bar’—A theft that shook a neighbourhood and its history

It seems some don't have empathy for those of "stolen" goods as these ice crones are just as important as the Big Banana and the Big Prawn for their significance as size of the icons don't matter. These icons have been erected for 51 years (1974) and it is the same as a thief stealing your 1974...

Aussies face new travel warnings before trips abroad

I agree to "each to the own", but I'd never go to Bali as I've heard too many negative stories and I savour MY LIFE.

'I wasn't going to give in': Australia's golden girl shares harrowing ordeal amid injury

Being a retired swimming instructor myself of many years and now after 4 hip replacements and back surgery I have empathy for our Dawn. I wish her well with her recovery as swimming is the only exercise that actually uses every muscle on ones body. So, GO GIRL, GO!

Coles shopper confronts stranger over shocking aisle incident

Having a granddaughter who works part-time (doing Uni degree) has told me they purposely change things around so that we impulse buy on other things as we walk trying to find what is actually on our list. Rather ANNOYING at times.

    One Pot Alfredo

I do much the same as I copy/paste then file in my personal files so "whatever" I feel like making I print it out to have by my cooking area rather than track and forth to my laptop.

Coles shopper confronts stranger over shocking aisle incident

Well done - $13 wouldn't get her too much. The only problem then is if one has to renew their drivers licence and report the theft to various stores if one has cards for those stores in their wallet which most of us would have.

Coles shopper confronts stranger over shocking aisle incident

ABSOLUTELY and they don't always have to be the untidily dressed person. I always clip the baby's seatbelt on the trolley through the handle of my handbag because that way if I'm trying to reach for something an a perp tries to nick my handbag they'll be dragging the whole trolley along with...

Coles shopper confronts stranger over shocking aisle incident

I've been told the same thing even by one of my granddaughters who has worked at a Coles store for 6 years that the stores don't anything. I've twice reported seeing a young guy stuffing goods (toothpaste) down his tracky-dacks so I took details of height, age and clothing and reported to the...

Reusing empty city buildings could help solve the housing and homelessness crisis

I've known both sides of the fence, so it's no different to the general community being in or out to some people as I've worked with these people and they're from all walks of life. You don't know ANYTHING about me to know how I've HELPED MANY OF THEM, so don't judge ANYONE YOU DON'T KNOW.

Reusing empty city buildings could help solve the housing and homelessness crisis

You've hit the nail on the head re the criminals. Most of them reoffend because they know they can get FREE board and meals. I also agree with you re the housing situation for our own families and STOP the migrants from using them as they get too much of a handout as it is. Yes, I feel it's nice...
