It's sad for everyone who has family or friends with dementia and particularly frustrating for the person with it until they get beyond that stage. I just hope there is a cure in the near future to prevent so many going through this horrible situation.
Unfortunately it has become a necessity and people have roamed around Perth for years with machetes, it would be great if they were not so readily available. They have go start somewhere to stop the carnage. It gets my vote and will if and when it comes to WA.

I certainly don't want to be sitting around with dementia not knowing anyone or having any quality of life. It's harder on the family as well just watching you exist rather than live in my opinion. It seems clear there are not many options and sometimes you can be hit with the disease quickly...
Absolutely, my heart goes out to everyone affected. I can't begin to imagine the heartache, stress and worry let alone the hard work and slog ahead. And the hoops to jump through to get help.. and back on their feet before what, it happens again!
I wonder why she hasn't asked the neighbours who are now frosty or maybe she did and they said no and suggested you and it looked like it worked for a while. But that is using you and fair enough when you work full time and have a family. I remember what that's like, life is really busy.
But that is where the system is wrong, you should not need a lawyer and have to fight so hard for what you are entitled to in the first place. And you hear in some cases the victims get very little in comparison to the lawyers bill.
