'We go through it, don't we?': Son offers a glimpse into former NRL star's current condition

It's sad for everyone who has family or friends with dementia and particularly frustrating for the person with it until they get beyond that stage. I just hope there is a cure in the near future to prevent so many going through this horrible situation.

Sudden ban hits everyday tools sparks confusion among hobbyists

Unfortunately it has become a necessity and people have roamed around Perth for years with machetes, it would be great if they were not so readily available. They have go start somewhere to stop the carnage. It gets my vote and will if and when it comes to WA.

Woman fights for her rights after 'elaborate scam' pushed her to debt: 'What's going on here?'

That's a disgrace. The debt should be wiped. They know damn well it is a scam so stop putting them through the wringer. Bureaucracy again at it's worst.

What voluntary assisted dying options are available for those with dementia?

I certainly don't want to be sitting around with dementia not knowing anyone or having any quality of life. It's harder on the family as well just watching you exist rather than live in my opinion. It seems clear there are not many options and sometimes you can be hit with the disease quickly...

Is it unreasonable to refuse to run errands for an elderly neighbour?

I wonder why she hasn't asked the neighbours who are now frosty or maybe she did and they said no and suggested you and it looked like it worked for a while. But that is using you and fair enough when you work full time and have a family. I remember what that's like, life is really busy.

Daughter laments over mum's 'devastating' condition after working in this facility

But that is where the system is wrong, you should not need a lawyer and have to fight so hard for what you are entitled to in the first place. And you hear in some cases the victims get very little in comparison to the lawyers bill.

Daughter laments over mum's 'devastating' condition after working in this facility

Can you imagine any of our politicians going to work in those conditions? Nobody should have to and then to have to fight so hard for fairness, again it just makes your blood boil. The added stress only adds to the physical illness. Whwt sort of country are we that allows this type of thing to...

‘There could be $1.50 a kilo difference’: This Aussie staple is cheaper for Kiwis than their own

That's absolutely ridiculous and shows how exporting to other countries and charging the country of origin a higher price is so wrong. Look after your own first. Being a kiwi I buy the NZ butter because I have always preferred the flavour and don't eat a lot of it but my goodness it does make...
