I do enter the roundabout if I can judge I've got enough room to get on it first. otherwise I'd still give way to cars on the right, if already coming round. Although I've often waited for cars from the right to come past me even though they've only just reached the roundabout. Always worked ok...

They haven't just brought in an alleged "sneaky fee". It's been around for ages and is currently 0.5%. They display the fee on the Eftpos terminal and there's normally a big sign hanging up as well. Just put your card in, press savings/cheque account and you don't get charged anything.
