Drive safe: New road rule may combat roadside danger for millions of Aussies

Well if she had slowed down maybe your friend might not have been injured. I’d definitely be slowing down if there was something out of the ordinary.

Mystery vandal scratches over 30 cars in bizarre crime spree

If they catch her she will plead mental health issues or she was on drugs at the time. They all know how to get out of being accountable to their crimes.

Drive safe: New road rule may combat roadside danger for millions of Aussies

Tbh if I saw someone at the side of the road changing a tyre, RACV or not I’d be slowing down

Sick of election spam texts? Here’s why you can’t block them—and what it reveals about the system

I actually had to smile at the voting centre. There is a ‘make cannabis legal’ party. I was thinking the guy canvassing for votes would have been a hippy type with long hair, jeans and thongs but he was a middle aged man wearing a smart shirt and pants. That will teach me to stereo type lol.

Sick of election spam texts? Here’s why you can’t block them—and what it reveals about the system

I can’t wait for it all to stop on Saturday, the constant text messages plus radio and TV ads are totally doing my head in! I have already voted so I don’t really care what any of them have to say, not that I cared before lol. As I keep saying, no matter who wins the election none of us will be...

Are these pests invading your home? Expert shares tips on how to stop them from infiltrating your abode

We have those sonic plug in things around the house and one in the shed. Touch wood we haven’t really seen any cockroaches or rodents but I did see a large cockroach in the garage a couple of weeks ago so I will be buying one for there too.

Popular birthday candle pulled from shelves after serious safety warning issued

I used them for my grandkids birthdays a few years back. Each time I used them they were a big hit. Luckily we had no problems with them. They were so pretty.

Rising cost of dining out could have serious consequences–up to 25 per cent more on your bill!

I wonder this too. Recently I had a look at purchasing tickets for Lady GaGa‘s concert. Basically, you could be paying $750 for a seat right up in the Gods, known as ‘nose bleed’ seats where, if you could see her at all she would just look like a dot on the stage. How can people afford this...

Are Australia's banking services changing soon? Bank chief reveals monumental changes ahead

I use online banking and tap and go but I can’t see cash disappearing completly. I always like to have around $100 in my purse - just in case, but I might not use it for weeks. My husband still needs his $2 coin for the local paper every week and I still have my jar of $1 coins to pay the kids...

'It's quite funny': Singer talks about her supermarket story making rounds online

Maybe that’s the case over jobs but I don’t work there and I refuse to use the self checkouts. Like was said in an earlier post, give me a discount and I might give them a go.

Shocking Discovery: A Road Sign Uncovers the Unsettling History of a Beloved Tourist Hotspot

You’re so right, it’s disgusting behaviour by the state government. They shoukd be protecting them, not killing them. Same with the Brumbies. They shoot them from helicopters, they don’t know what they are hitting and if it’s a clean kill plus they are leaving foals motherless to starve to...

‘I had a hand in killing my dog’: The treatment some owners wish they never tried

We have a fantastic vet who comes to our home to treat my pets. She also does acupuncture so when the boys need help with arthritis I will get her to try the acupuncture before drugs.

Are you feeding these feathered backyard visitors? Here's why you should not do it

In our town locals have been asked not to feed the birds in a certain area as magpies were stealing food out of peoples hands as they left the bakery - annoying as well as not good for them. Yet I saw an old guy feeding them bread and stuff. My husband spoke to him but he just said they were...

Elite golf club ejects former political figure over controversial conduct

Brett Sutton didn’t get out unscathed either. He came to the town I lived in for lunch with his family and did not get a very good reception. He was basically told to leave by quite a few locals. Again, I felt it was mean, the guy was doing a job and I know mistakes were made but I’m sure he...

Elite golf club ejects former political figure over controversial conduct

Damned if he did, damned if he didn’t. Whatever he did he would have upset someone. Right or wrong he was trying to be a strong leader in tough uncertain times. Someone had to take charge. I know one thing for sure, I was glad it didn’t have to be me

Elite golf club ejects former political figure over controversial conduct

So you don’t agree, that’s fine. So my response is idiotic just because you don’t agree. Not really a grown response is it

Elite golf club ejects former political figure over controversial conduct

I was in Melbourne during lockdown. we actually lived out of Melbourne in a small town and seeing as you were restricted to a radius of five kilometres it really made it hard for us as not much was that close, but we kept healthy and got through it. Many weren’t so lucky. My husband is a keen...

Elite golf club ejects former political figure over controversial conduct

Totally different issue to the decisions made in lockdown. Like I said I’m not a fan of politicians but the issue of the golf club is ridiculous. Pay back for not being able to play golf during lockdown is just childish.
