Blaming the shift to digital & closing branches making it sound like it's a customer choice is a pathetic excuse all the banks seem to be using to try to force everyone away from using cash - hell who even knows if their telling us the truth when they quote stats supporting their argument...
Why exemptions? Security is pretty lame excuse when cash was all we had not so long ago & the chances of being scammed digitally would surely far outweigh the security risk one would think?
Not all credit cards have fees & not everyone who has a credit card has money owing on it, mine's in credit by $6k as I use it for bill paying, works well for me anyway
And how are they gonna recoup the cost of wages (staff pay cuts, job losses/dropping penalty rates? Extra fees to customers?)
No we don't need Sun banking if it comes to any of that, just keep branches open & tellers in country areas/rural/metro regions instead of closing them
& keep CASH alive!!
Sad, but hardly surprising, when so many get/got sucked in by the flood of advertising by Temu/Shein without giving a stuff about obvious consequences of them/the masses doing so!

I would rather be euthanised than go thru what my dad & his mother (my grandma) went thru...
If I was the gf in this situation I would insist that the bf go on ahead without me,it certainly wasn't his fault she still forgot her passport after several reminders from him! Unfair of her to expect him to stay behind because she messed up!!
Sad news! What an amazing band! I still remember staying at my grandparents house as a 16yo wishing I could be at the loud Skyhooks concert I could hear a couple of blocks away in our local town in 1977 & whenever I hear "I'm Livin' In The '70's" it takes me back to a wonderful time in life...
To me solar's a con/scam/rort (another way of controlling everyone maybe too) as the cost to instal it probably far outweighs any savings (for me at least here in Vic) as by the time I'd have solar panels, etc "paid for" by way of cheaper power bills they would be out of...
