'Absolutely perfect': Is the viral choccy worth the hype in Australia?

Why did that have to ruin it with nuts & pastry? I love nuts and pastry but not in my chocolate, so will leave it to other members to try & comment on.

    Sleep

I love a good murder mystery & often work it out before the end, but doesn’t stop me reaching for the next one. I’m reading a series of murder mysteries by T A Williams, where a retired chief inspector from Scotland Yard moves to Italy where he set up a detective agency but works closely with...

Daily supplements pose hidden organ risks, warns top doctor

I take Vitamin D as recommended by my doctor, but many years ago, while suffering badly from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, my husband took me to see a well known Naturopath, who put me on a variety of supplements. After a few days I was seriously ill to the point of feeling as though I was losing my...

That exactly what my son does! Mine gets a good airing everyday unless we’re heading out early & not returning until late or the next week or month.

Could the bargain auto parts you bought be compromising your car’s safety? Find out now

A lot of people wonder why our cars have all gone back to the dealer for services & maintenance. I know it may cost a little more but peace of mind is so important.

Is it dangerous to kiss someone who’s eaten gluten if you have coeliac disease?

One of my friends has this horrible affliction & has been experiencing a few problems which resulted in surgery. Fortunately, Launceston has an amazing restaurant which is totally gluten free so there is never a worry about cross contamination. There maybe more but I’m not aware of them. Like a...

    A Mother’s Day Story

What a beautiful story Alan, dementia is so very sad, but I’m sure that at times, they are still in there. Happy Mothers Day to all of our mums. I find Mother’s Day a little sad as my older sister had a heart attack on Mother’s Day & passed a few days later & the dates are the same this year...

Insider shares new claims about Royal Family members' cancer bout

Not necessarily, it would depend on the model the country accepts.

Insider shares new claims about Royal Family members' cancer bout

Maybe because Woman’s Day or New Idea said so. That’s probably why we never know “anything“

Insider shares new claims about Royal Family members' cancer bout

Surely there must be a better Republic model than the USA debacle! What’s wrong with still having our parliament as it is and make our Governor General the President? With a few tweaks I’m sure it could be sorted. We most certainly don’t want the type of republic where a president has total...

Are you on track? See the average savings balances across Australian age groups

Do you mean BPay? We pay the majority of our bills this way & find it works perfectly. We simply nominate the date that we want the bill paid, which is generally a couple of days before the due date, & have never had a problem. I think we have two that are direct transfer, but that’s just a...

Australia Post reveals massive update for deliveries nationwide! Here's what we know so far

My post ladies are terrific & nothing is a bother to them. My parcels are left in a safe, secure space & when we’re heading to WA for a catchup with our son, any deliveries are left on the back doorstep, so that my brother can’t possibly miss them when he comes home. 😅

Is this real? See the incredible Star Wars-inspired flying bike you can own!

Good for you Gunpark. I’d most likely would be hopeless on one but would love to try. I’d probably be flying around for ever & unable to land it.

Have you tried anything new lately?

I’ve spent quite a bit of time with my friend who is on respite in a nursing home. Unfortunately, she has dementia & with her poor husband desperately needing a break, I helped out with visits, laundry etc. He did manage to get away on a macro camera course, & spent the weekend on a mountain...

Is customer service in Australia officially a thing of the past? Woman shares shopping experience

Many years ago a friend & I went into a newly opened specialty shop in Launceston, the owner was there but was so busy gossiping to one of her friends, that we were totally ignored. No greetings or anything else, just totally ignored. The shop is still open, but I’ve never seen more than one or...

‘Apparently they’re using internet blockers’: Wild claim about major Aussie stores sparks backlash

I haven’t experienced this problem at all, but then, I only use my phone to find my cards. I know my husband’s phone works in supermarkets as I’ve often called him while he’s shopping.
