The Horrifying Truth About Sydney Airport Security – Tourist's Nightmare Experience Revealed!

To the best of my knowledge she was not walking through an x-ray machine - she would have walked through a scanner which searches for metal objects on the body. I wonder why she felt any need to tell the staff that she had an ileostomy bag unless she was trying to draw attention to herself.

Popular Aussie retailer to close 160 stores—are you ready to say goodbye?

I used to shop at Miller's a lot but the quality went downhill in recent years & the sizing of goods was "all over the shop". The same with Katies. I tried a jacket on in Katies last year & the shop assistant had no idea what sizing actually meant. I am a size 16 & I tried on a size 22 which...

Are you at risk? Infected traveller triggers urgent highly contagious disease alert

Why do I have to read nearly half this article to find out what the disease is? This whole article is just plain SCAREMONGERING. The death rate from this virus is as low as 0.1% worldwide i.e. 1 in 1000. Not something to press panic buttons about.

Do you own a caravan or boat? See if you're at risk in the latest council crackdown incited by public outrage!

I totally agree. Why buy a vehicle (boat, caravan etc) if you don't have enough room to store it on your own property? It is not the responsibility of the local council to provide space for you to park your extra vehicles.

A bold new waste rule is dividing communities – what it means for you

I'm wondering what size is your FOGO bin? My food scraps for a week fit in an ice cream container which is then emptied into my compost bin.

A bold new waste rule is dividing communities – what it means for you

There is a simple solution which the households could do - don't buy so much pre-packaged food. That would reduce the amout of waste which you needed to dispose of. I only ever have 1-2 medium sized kitchen tidies that get emptied into my bin/week since I hardly buy anything that is...

A bold new waste rule is dividing communities – what it means for you

Ii agree. I also have a large compost bin which takes all my food waste except those which do not compost (e.g. meat scraps). Even with all my other waste, including a lot of crafting scraps, I only need to put my bin out every 2-3 weeks. Too many "greens" out there wanting more & more bins...

A bold new waste rule is dividing communities – what it means for you

My frreezer is full of food that I intend to eat. There is no room for rubbish that is going to be thrown in the bin. If I was forced into this extra bin nonsense I would be forced to put my food scraps just as I do now - in the regular green top bin.

Mum battles $410 fine from secret new cameras—are you at risk too?

Big Brother rises again. We are so over-governed in this country it's becoming almost like living in a communist country where everything you say & do is monitored to be sure you do not break some law. You can easily see that these people were wearing their seatbelts correctly yet the govt...

This is such old news I wonder why it has earned this place in our reading. SDC needs to stop resurrecting old news while trying to make it sound like something new they have found for us to read.

Parking space price shocker: Costs more than a house in exclusive beachside area! Are you paying too much?

Yet another idiot who spends money unwisely. I have a question though, what happens if he wants to sell this parking space in a few years? Or what if the property owner wants to sell the home? Does the new buyer get saddled with this car parking space which he can't use as it has been sold...

Is your retirement in jeopardy? How the Tango Caravans collapse might force you back to work!

Never, ever, pay for something without having possession of that purchase. That's a basic principle of buying anything. I bet they never paid for a car before taking possession of it & that would have cost less than the luxury caravan they wanted to buy. I'm sorry this happened to them but...

Looming blackout threat with upcoming heatwave exposed—are you prepared?

You get very hot in the daytime or sit in the dark at night. That's why I bought a portagas stove and a pressure lamp. Now I can cook whenever the lights go out & I can see what I am doing.

Looming blackout threat with upcoming heatwave exposed—are you prepared?

When I put my panels up the feed in tariff was 20c now it is 5c. Meanwhile they charge me 25-38c/kwh. That's price gouging at its best & the govt supports that while at the same time saying they are going to prevent price gouging by the supermarkets. They should get their own house in order...

Looming blackout threat with upcoming heatwave exposed—are you prepared?

Another person the govt loves as you do their job of providing an essential service to all Australians. Not everyone can afford to buy sufficient panels & a battery to power their home. I bought a portagas stove & pressure lamp so I can cook & see what I am doing.

Looming blackout threat with upcoming heatwave exposed—are you prepared?

"NSW Energy Minister Penny Sharpe has urged caution, .... and to be mindful of their power usage." What a ridiculous statement. Does she think we are not mindful of our power usage with the ridiculously high power prices we have to pay? I am on a Smart Meter & now I cook my main meal in the...

Australia Post hints at price jumps for several services

No. It is one business & all costs & profits are part of that one business. You don't charge more for one part of the business because it is not as profitable as the rest of the business. If the business is making a profit then it is successful.
