Whilst I feel for the lass suffering Endometriosis ( as a past fellow sufferer) is any of this really newsworthy? I can point to numerous people on my street with far more serious health problems. Unfortunately, Joe Average Australian, does not have the same resources to jet off to the US for...
I have actually been in my local Woolies when 2 of it's 'odd bunch' items were more expensive than the same item on the display. The disadvantage in buying 'odd bunch' produce is that it generally comes bagged in 1kg lots. So you are being penalised twice. It really pays to keep your eyes open...
I know of at least one NSW town that has only one ATM and if you don't grab your cash on the day it's filled, you go without. This ATM recently switched from accepting all cards to accepting only it's own brand. There is no bank in this town and the PO carries very little cash.
What a detestable human being. That poor bloke is looking at a really sh*tty future. Nobody I've ever encountered would even think of doing something so deplorable, sober, drunk or off their head on any substance. The act speaks clearly of a rotten person apart from whatever she claims as...
Not much of this 'general information' is accurate over a large area of the country. It doesn't take into account the power you can put back into the grid, the different types of solar panels available, and the variations in climate. We've installed solar panels (a lot) with individual...
My 'soap-box' has always been 'people like Elon Musk could end world hunger, improving their own image at the same time, but they would rather contribute to space junk and schemes to get richer'. Only the mega-rich could get away with calling a rescuer a 'pedo'. If Bill Gates is sincere...
My interest in the royals passed with the late queen. Sorry for their health problems, just like everyone else suffering. Beyond that, no particular interest any more.
I've always had this service, it's not new. I don't know if our delivery couple just go 'above and beyond' but the app has a see where we left it feature and if it required a signature I know an honest attempt was made. A cheap doorbell camera can cover from the customer's side. I find treating...
Oonly if everyone is treated equally. I witnessed cops in my local area tailgating a young red P plate driver, presumably trying to frighten the poor kid into making a mistake. I followed until the young driver turned into a driveway and the cop sped off. I consider this a pretty low act from...
I'm not a coffee drinker, so before any of the good stuff, I have to put my head under the tap. Read 'shower', preferably cold, to get functional. After that it depends on who's need is greatest, family breakfast or food and play for my puppy.
Sorry guys, this may seem a bit 'out there' but if Australia needs a queen from our 'Arts community' then my pick would be Celeste Barber. Not only is she hilariously funny but she's also a good person and a very 'real' one. I have no trouble remembering the effort she put into fund-raising...
Bugger the 'what about big brother' crowd or 'the government is collecting our data', wherever possible I use a fingerprint or facial recognition. There ain't 2 people with my ugly mug anywhere!
I'm an old girl and haven't rented in decades. That being said, I did have a horror real estate agent when renting my very first flat. The b*stard would let himself in whenever he wanted, claiming an 'inspection'. You can guess what he was inspecting. Very short tenancy there. Obviously it...
Idiots with more money than sense. Imagine when/if the day comes, the bottom drops out of their world, and they have cause, as many smokers and drinkers have, to look back on the money they have wasted.
I find that it's often better to get 'local opinions', rather than 'reviews', about accommodation. The locals hear what's going on and are usually willing to share. Even small towns, where folk are cautious about offending other locals, you can get genuine recommendations.
