Man shocked over bank’s response after losing $11,000 from scammers

Yes, I do that, it's a debit Mastercard, I only put in enough money to cover an online purchase because a credit card is too much of a temptation to spend what you don't have. The bank reminds, also, of upcoming regular amount bills and I put enough to cover them the evening before.

'I simply clicked the link': Man shares how one email put his Centrelink payments at risk

I had one yesterday from my bank saying it was time to update security. I deleted it, usually the bank tells you this when you login not through an email. When I logged on there was nothing about security. It's so damn annoying having to be on high alert just checking emails. Fortunately I have...

The alarming way scammers are preying on those with diabetes

New year, new support: Carer allowance and other Centrelink payments to increase for over 1 million Aussies

The paltry increase for carers is coming out of Home Care Packages, I just got a notice about it: 0.47 per day = $3.29 per week. In September the age pension rise was claimed to be $26 per fortnight, but we in Dept Housing have had the rent increased by $36 per fortnight, so are $10 worse off...
