Over 20 patients left in lurch by suspended practitioners: 'Nowhere near finished'

As a high school student in the 1960s I had braces onmy teeth. My parents had to pay for these in installments. This is still the method used by at least some orthodontists

Patients share heart-wrenching pleas for changes in their healthcare system

Not only WA Govt. but the Commonwealth don't hesitiate to spend funds on unnecessary often luxury items, many bought from overseas. Such a project is lifesaving and would cost less than more permanent beds in a hospital. There needs to be a few trained staff to care for patients between...

‘Who is this guy?’: Channel 7 reporter faces off with an influencer during tense press event

There is a couple of places that take "dead" batteries. Some security companies with vehicles only use them for a very short time, take them to a company that re-cycles them -tests, service and re-fills them equivalent to new batteries at a much lower price. I know businesses and private...

Authorities charge man with impairing pilot’s vision from his home

Suspended sentence. How many lives were put at risk?? There have been so many warnings about the danger and laws relating to this. I hope he received a very heavy fine and was put on a very long behaviour bond. The Police would definitely have confiscated his illegal gear but he will probably...

'What a b******* notice': Renters push back after receiving unreasonable charges

In a lot of cases tenants pay the water bill in addition to their rent. It encourages them not to waste water but they can't be expected to pay for the water used to maintain the garden. I would have thought some of the increase would go towards increased council rates, land tax and other Govt...

Are parking fees for large cars about to skyrocket? You won't believe the reason why

What about people who have people movers because it is impossible to fit 3 items of child safety equipment of any type? Yes, the width is the issue. Thankfully most have rear seat area sliding doors. You can barely fit 3 in a very old model Commodore jammed in against each other and almost...

Tradespeople make shocking mistakes at Bunnings you must avoid

A friend of mine often says "you can't help stupid". Anybody with a brain would consider the weight of the timber vs their own weight.

Shocking reason why Prince William hired Diana's divorce lawyer

Typical journalism. I wonder if the report is correct or take out of context. They have to make everything sensational.

Shocking reason why Prince William hired Diana's divorce lawyer

Stop speculating and upsetting people. The media has a lot to answer for in interfering in peoples' lives. That included the media in Australia - going back to the 1940s. What's worse some hack Police radios and report reports faster than next-of-kin can be informed of an incident or accident.

Is the rise of 'King William’ tearing the Royal Family apart’?

Has SDC got nothing better to do than stir up and cause disrespect and arguments?? I hope this article is not going to be repeated either.

'They are lying’: Single mum blindsided by massive $8,000 Centrelink debt

If you have any phone contact with Centrelink at all, always ask for a reference number, the person's name and also write down the date and time. Always save written or emailed information. If they "lose it" you've got a record of it.

You won’t believe what one driver found on a remote Aussie road–here’s why it matters

At Bathurst in the Motorsport area there have been many delays while wildlife is taken to a safe location., including echidnas waddling along a wall, once a snake and kangaroos encouraged to move to a safe area. Officials wave Red Flags and the drivers very slowly go back to the pits until it is...

This three-letter puzzle baffles everyone—even PhDs find it tricky to solve

why or way. School beginners are given reading, then spelling and writing added. Some children that is the way of determining whether or not the child needs extra help. I personally know one Mum who approached the school about concerns she had of the level of her daughter's ability. The teacher...

Royal controversy deepens—what really happened at Sentebale?

This should NEVER have been released by the media. What is reported is not always correct either. Had the Adelaide media been taken to court in the 1940s they would not have been happy.

The rising cost of living is changing how locals get their food—here’s what we know

We had hens for many years. Dad put up a modified garden shed. He left a section with no wall at the top and filled it with "bird wire" so not stray cats or birds could get in it. He gave them a big section of yard. The door of the "chook house was closed at night for their safety and opened...

This mum-and-son duo has been stranded in their home after an unknown deal! What happened?

The NSW Government has "passed the buck" because they don't want to take responsibility for "going back on their word". Did the NSW Govt. offer to buy the property?

Shocking behaviour outside clinic sparks nationwide outrage

I would give them both penalties. That is equivalent of attempted murder. I wonder if it is a patient with a grudge.

    General Discussion Thread 07.04.2025

Life is tough especially if you don't know the reason or didn't see the signs which some easily hide. My Mum passed away exactly 2 months after her 90th birthday. I think I dislike birthdays and Christmas most. Her Great Granddaughter didn't miss her after a few months but she was only 2 y.o.
