I felt so sorry for this poor man when I heard about this on our local news. It would have been very challenging for all the rescue workers & the poor doctor who performed the amputation in trying conditions. I did hear that the patient recovered well & I think may have even returned home.

Unless you’re mugged & lose it all. I know of people who withdraw their pension & wander around with a wad of money on them, so if the happen to be assaulted they possibly end up losing the entire amount.

What is wrong with Muffin Break &Coffee Place? You don’t have to go there Veggie, same as I don’t go to Gloria Jeans or McCafe, but some people love these places so it’s each to their own.

We haven’t had this chain in Tasmania but I’m certainly aware of them. Fancy ending up with more Gloria Jeans, last time I visited one I was astonished at the prices of their cakes & slices, which really weren’t very nice. It’s sad to see so many businesses closing down.

I do too Reet & it doesn’t seem to get hot at all, but then must keep an eye on it. My husband keeps his in a pocket unless he takes his man bag with him.

Why would I have a dig at you Veggie?

It was the same in Perth when we were there at Christmas. The water coming out of the cold tap was unbelievably warm, whereas we had to wait for the hot water. My son said that he’s often had a shower with the warm water from the cold tap.

I’m embracing my very few grey hairs & encouraging them to spread, but they’re very, very slow. I’ve always looked forward to having grey hair, but it’s not going well. Maybe I’ll stop eating broccoli, celery & peppers.

Tasmania is constantly being left off maps. I always tell complaining people that it’s a good idea as the rest of the world won’t realise that we’re here. 😂

How terrible for this poor lady, what a shame that her family weren’t more involved in helping her organise her move. I wouldn’t have been confident that my parents were okay to organise a move at that age. No offence to our older members but my late parents wouldn’t have embraced computers...
