    RED FLAGED

A scammer got me the other day. Always looking for freebies, I did a survey for free pasta products. You had to pay for shipping. While the shipping was processing I noticed the price change from $3 to $5 and also that the address had changed to Great Britain. Alarm bells rang. I have...

Member Spotlight: Family, Love, and Food with @Suzanne rose

Wow, Suzanne! So many children. I was also married young, but I am glad to see you got a better man than I did. I was unhappy most of my 36 years of married life but I achieved a lot in my careers and university studies. It was a bit like being born again when I divorced my ex. I am still...

My First Love Affair (by member Alan G)

My first car was an Austin A40. My Dad bought the car from "Dependable Motors" but unfortunately by the time he got the car home it had no oil pressure at all so that meant a new motor had to be installed. My boyfriend (now ex-husband) painted it irridescent blue and I loved that car so much...

Experts Hate This! See How the New Government Reforms Could Boost Your Super Savings with Fresh Financial Advice!

Most of the advice you get from "financial planners" is useless and designed to make them money not you. I did a financial planning course years ago and use my own advice!

Is this $39 Kmart kitchen item revolutionary or a total flop? Shoppers are shocked – find out why!

I bought this and love it. I cooked tuna patties and they turned out perfect, with crisp outsides, and they didn't fall apart like they do in the frypan.

Mum's ALDI-cious meal planning and budget-friendly feasts leave more dough in wallets!

Just an add-on to the above. I use empty yogurt containers for celery, lettuce, spring onions. They are air tight and the contents keep for weeks. A bit of paper towel at the top helps too.

Identifying AI made easier: Meta rolls out new measures for AI-generated tools

I am 77 and have always loved technology. I recently did a survey and for a reward I got some virtual reality glasses. Still to try them out. The new AI technology is excellent for creating art. An example below shows what is possible with a simple prompt.

It's the end of an era: beloved Aussie company behind iconic invention faces administration

I worked for Hills Telefix in Adelaide in the 1960's and this was a division of the Hills group of companies. It was very busy there on the switchboard all the time as people wanted their televisions repaired. The repairmen went to the house to fix tv sets. These days it's not worth repairing...

The new lifestyle trend taking over Australia

Van life is not for everyone. I had a motorhome for a while but found it too big to handle and also no fun if you are travelling on your own. If I ever get another campervan it will be one similar to the picture above and able to be used as an everyday vehicle.
