My grandson’s partner who was heavily pregnant was fined $700.00 in Queensland for not having her seatbelt correctly positioned. She was wearing the seatbelt but had moved it a little to assist her comfort.

This has been their policy since I began grocery shopping in1955!

Some years ago there was a series of advertisements warning drivers of this rule. People stopped doing it. A new generation has arrived on the scene & are breaking this law. Perhaps there needs to be another warning campaign.

I think Creeping Fig should be removed. It looks very nice whilst young but, left untrimmed it becomes a large shrub.

I cannot believe the number of drivers who do not indicate correctly. What I see daily are: indicating as they turn; no indicator on roundabouts; not indicating before changing lanes; indicating change of lane as they change. Also so many drivers with only one headlight operating.

Are people ashamed that they do not bother to recycle & place the correct items in the appropriate bin & they don’t want to be called out? Those who go through bins are doing the country a service by reducing waste.

That is really bad form. Make sure you learn what goes in which bin. It’s your responsibility. The environment is in great danger from indiscriminate waste disposal.

People are saying never buy an apartment in a large block of units that are under seven years old. By that time most of the flaws have been attended to.

I don’t mind the expense for our Head of State. It’s not as if they come on a regular basis. However, Republicanism is certainly not nonsense & the majority of our Politicians are well meaning, trustworthy people.
