Extra income relief? Coalition backs JobSeeker boost

I agree there are strugglers out there who try to find work, yet unemployable. Too much discrimination out there and depending on the job, business owners do tend to get very fussy. I don't blame them as their business is their livelyhood. Unfortunately it is the dole bludgers who just do not...

Extra income relief? Coalition backs JobSeeker boost

If there was not so much of age discrimination, I would prefer to be out there working. Not only is the money better, but also keeps the mind occupied and stops you from becoming lazy. Oh, but the government does not seem to care about the older people, just likes giving the younger ones more...

Outrage over Woolworths' changes to home delivery orders: Why customers are left fuming!

Their profits are large enough to brunt some of the extra prices, especially give a decent discount to the elderly who cannot get to the shops personally. Greed is what I put it down to.

Huge price hike! Coles and Woolworths food prices skyrocket by 10%, rising fast than inflation

I feel the Unions have a lot to answer for with these price hikes. It is always the case, increase in wages, then it gets passed on to the goods with higher prices. However this is only partly to blame. The rest would be the want of more profits for the big boys.

Don't miss your chance to win a share of 49 million Woolworths rewards points and countless prizes

Why should I buy for the sake of buying just to win? Besides Woollies prices are the highest out of the trio supermarkets. Not only that, their service has not been tremendously good in our area. If I need one or more of the products and they are on special, I probably would buy. I would...

Woolworths under fire for this 'frustrating' self-service checkout feature

Our local Coles has now reduced their staff checkouts to two and increasing the area for self service....refuse to use them, hence stop shopping there as the queue starts getting too long for the service. It seems Woolworths is going the same way......To me all it is doing is inconveniencing...

What has happened to op shops? Have charity shops become greedy?

You are forgetting the rising costs of leases, electricity, phone and all expenses related running any form of business. Stock is donated and most of the staff are volunteers, yet the managers get paid a minimum wage. All these expenses have been added to the cost of the merchandise. Nothing...

What has happened to op shops? Have charity shops become greedy?

Worked in an op shop for many years, and their argument is rising costs such as leases, electricity, phone, internet for emails, etc. Sure their stock is donated, but not other expenses which they have to pay like any other business. Still no excuse to charge as if the stock is new though.
