New taxi rules to weed out suspicious drivers in this state

I don't use taxis much, but my pet peeve is drivers who, thinking you may not know exactly where you are, take you on a very long route to your destination. Have had this happen to me on several occasions in the past. A couple of drivers got quite a shock when they discovered I knew exactly...

Aussie couple slashes electricity bills to just $20 a quarter—here’s how YOU can do it

You need to be sure that you are going to stay very long term in your home to outlay such a large amount of money. They still had to spend around $11,000 after the government rebate which would take a while to recoup ( plus interest, unless they had this amount of money laying around). I have...

Australia Post hints at price jumps for several services

I really don't understand what the hullabaloo is all about. The average family, it states, uses five or six stamps a year ($1.20/year) for heaven's sake. Pensioners still only pay the reduced rate. Why are we whinging???

Protect your computers and phones: these six words could make you a hacker's next victim

Totally agree. This is not a trait solely to Bengal cats . I had a litter of Siamese kittens once, 7 in all, 6 were just fine but one a bit like the Bengal described. It's just a personality trait, some humans are the same, lol.

Major supermarkets provide body-worn cameras to staff over surge in violent customer incidents

It doesn't worry me, whatever it takes. People who are worried about it can always shop online, but then they will have to worry about being scammed Take your choice, lol.

Major supermarkets provide body-worn cameras to staff over surge in violent customer incidents

My, you sound absolutely paranoid. First responders wear cameras as well today, don't they?

Protect your computers and phones: these six words could make you a hacker's next victim

Siamese cats have been domesticated since the 14th century, firstly in Asia. Hardly a wild cat I bred and showed Siamese cats for many years, why on earth would you even think about banning them. Bengal cats were first bred in 1963, sixty years away from being wild.

Major supermarkets provide body-worn cameras to staff over surge in violent customer incidents

If it wasn't for abusive and violent customers these types of technology wouldn't be necessary. Staff shouldn't have to put up with this sort of behaviour when going to work. Our weak legal system has a lot to answer for, people can abuse staff, threaten them with knives, even physically assault...

Former Neighbours actress announces pregnancy of her child with her stepbrother, who is also her husband

What is wrong with people, don't they understand "STEP" brother, not related at all except by their parents marriage. People seem to have nothing better to do than get "outraged" over everything these days. They need to take a good look at themselves and get a life.

Driver faces thousands in fines over another simple road rule

This is a regular occurrence here in WA I don't know if people are unaware of this law, or just don't care. Probably the latter as there are definitely enough signs advising you

Mum battles $410 fine from secret new cameras—are you at risk too?

Your eyesight must be better than mine, but that wouldn't be hard.

Why your mail disappeared overnight: Shocking reason Australia Post boxes are vanishing!

I can remember the days when the postie came twice a day, blowing his whistle to let you know you had mail. Things change constantly. When we are all long and gone people will joke about how we used to write on paper, put it in an envelope, pay for a stamp, post it and wait an eternity for it...

Why your mail disappeared overnight: Shocking reason Australia Post boxes are vanishing!

🤣🤣🤣. Yes, I was continually delivering parcels to a neighbour which were left at my place in error. Even when I pointed it out to him on two occasions it still kept happening. Since moving to the country no more problems. Everybody knows everybody, everybody knows the postie by name. Never...
