Experts reveal how Centrelink's failures unfairly impact women's lives

I have been trying to sort out my brothers financials since he was admitted to a nursing home last September. I was lucky enough to get through to Services Australia in the early days & I actually put in a formal complaint about the lack of being able to have a phone answered & the means tested...

Trusted family friend turns into a brutal attacker—‘I had no idea what’s going on’

Our legal system is a joke. Inconsistencies in its penalties, too many people let go with very light punishments. It is not lack of police, it's the lack of punishment for the crimes.

Is your wallet about to become obsolete? Discover when Australia plans to go completely cashless

No. Simple. I like my cash & $50 now should be worth $50 in 20 years time. Then they will charge us extra for a late payment fee

‘Dole bludger’? Expert explains why common criticism of Centrelink recipients misses the mark

Dr Klien mentions many people on benefits are doing unpaid work. Isn't that a Centrelink thing now that if you do 15 hours voluntary work a week you don't have to look for a job. Pretty good deal isn't it. The whole system needs to be revised. Those who have been on long term benefits need to...

I have a salt water pool & wouldn't be with out it. Spend a couple of hours max on maintenance a week if that. Hardly costs me anything to run. I do get the water tested on a regular basis so that a little deficiency doesn't become a huge problem or expense. Everyone to there own though.

Real estate CEO sues Kmart for $205,000 over a slip-and-fall incident inside their store

Why do people have to sue everyone just because they had an unfortunate accident. A puppy pad is not very big, is that the only place she could walk? I would say more embarrassment than mental suffering.

You are harsh. You don't know his background. Did you ever think he may be going through a rough time? Shocking reveal: Australia Post employee nabbed for doing what at work?!

These posties start their day very very early. They just don't jump on their bike & go, most of them have to sort all the mail into streets on their delivery run, then house numbers & decipher some appalling writing whilst doing this task. They deliver in the cold of winter, the heat of summer &...

Police arrest mum in her underwear over unpaid bill

My opinion is that the police force are far too soft. I don't think they were over the top at all. No one respects them as they are too restricted in what they are allowed to do & that is why we have so many repeat offenders on the streets or people like this woman who don't think they have the...
