    While living O/S I used Bisquick a lot. I now have a couple of recipes for making it. Ever used a pack of Robour for pastry or scones (not sure of your age) but a similar to Bisquick . It's quick and convenient. Just add water a lightly mix together.

    This happened t me a few years back and the repairman advise that my machine be replaced and left the old one with us. My husband pulled it fully apart and found the build up inside. Once he cleaned it up and put it back together we gave it to his son, who didn't have one, so repurposed.

    I'm sorry but a Hot Cross Bun is and only should be the original and what it symbolises, anything else is merely a yeast bun with whatever you want in or on it but should have the cross removed. By doing this you can have it 365 days of the year without offending he religious connotations.
