A mourning mother’s urgent warning: childproof your home

Sadly I am sorry for their loss but I don't accept this was a simple mistake. It's a huge mistake. I raised 2 children in a 4th floor apartment and I always had a locked screen door across the open doorway. It's a lack of supervision especially as both parents were there.

From next week, say goodbye to plastic straws and bags! Australia just BANNED all single-use plastic

I think it is extreme. I defy anyone to tell me they managed to cut a steak with those ridiculous bamboo cutlery items.

Royal dilemma: Prince Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary postponed until next year

Thank goodness for that. I personally don't want to watch Winge & Ginge making fools of themselves by biting the hand that feeds them.

At the food court in my local shopping centre sizes and prices are prominently displayed. Should have checked before she bought and questioned the price

Residents point fingers at Flemington Racecourse flood wall for Maribyrnong flooding

Is it a crime for someone to want to protect their property? Obviously the answer is yes judging by this article. Here in Brisbane this year we had areas underwater that had never flooded before. It's called nature and very bad luck.

Shopper's 'annoying' discovery leads to a heated confrontation with retail workers

It is an annoying issue, stock replenishment should be done after hours. My local Coles does also does theirs first thing in the morning and I really object to piles of frozen foods sitting in front of the chill cabinets with no-one around to stock the shelves. It is an issue I have spoken to...

Get soft, dry towels in hours WITHOUT a tumble dryer (and save on energy bills!) with this simple trick

If you can stand your house looking like a Chinese laundry that's fine but wet washing hanging everywhere makes the air really damp. Better to get a folding clothes line and just do one load of washing each day and keep it in the laundry.

Confused Queensland resident mulls action on ‘very harsh’ $96 infringement fine

Thanks for explaining that, I was just curious as to why she stayed on the street. Most council parking police are very zealous, I recently had a fractured hip and needed to have a follow up Xray and the car park was full so I parked on the street but the front wheel of my car was about 1 inch...
