    Climate crisis - what climate crisis?????We have 40 acres and in 25 years nothing has changed - the creeks flood, roads are cut, high rainfall at times, low rainfall at others - we sit here and watch it all go by and nothing is worse here now than 25 years ago!

    Butcher birds which are smaller than maggies will destroy your plants - our maggies don't touch them ( apart from the young ones playing) - but the butcher birds are destructive little sods.

    You are right and carrots grow bigger when grown in the growing season - they don't get as big in the off season. You can grow all year round but will get smaller results like baby carrots in most varieties of vege.
