I have done similar in years gone by when I was on the farm. But now with only 2 in the household I still try to do it, but buying at Woolies or even Coles is not that cheap and sometimes it is hit and miss with meat bargains as in colour and packaging.

I have to agree with you on that. When we use to get donations that were KMart etc brands we still had to sell them. We use to sort out the incoming donations into export and local. Some of the stuff that got put in local was insane and the export was the better stuff and the really good stuff...
