A new ‘feature’ at ALDI could help shoppers save BIG bucks!

My mum and I regularly shop at Aldi. I do top ups at my local IGAs when I have to. I do on the odd occasion go to Woolies or Coles but that's only when I need to do my rewards and flybys points. I can't afford to shop at Woolies and Coles like I use to when I was working plus I love shopping at...

Outrageous new trend in Aussie op shops sparks fury

I use to work for a charity which had a main shop and the axe I worked at was the warehouse that came into our place with the donations. I use to sort and price the clothing accordingly and also what I would pay for it. Not bragging I helped them make alot of money. I still op shop and yes the...

Elton John rushed to hospital after incident at French home

I have been a fan of Sir Elton John since I was a little girl in the 70s. My favourite Elton song is Benny and the Jets. I had the privilege of seeing Elton when he came to Perth on his Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tour and I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and when he sung Goodbye Yellow...

JobSeeker base rate hike announced to address inflationary pressures

I use to get medical certificates every 3 months for my chronic migraines till one day the woman at Centelink told me it's not allowed after 3 times so something chronic apparently is not acceptable after a certain amount of time and when I got carpal tunnel first in my right hand and then later...

JobSeeker base rate hike announced to address inflationary pressures

I think it's called Disability Support Pension , which is hard to get. My friend who is 63 now waited to get the Disability Support Allowance as she has many health issues. I can't get it as my chronic migraines are not classed bad enough... I average 1 to 3 a week but apparently it is only...

How to feed your family for less than $2!

I have done similar in years gone by when I was on the farm. But now with only 2 in the household I still try to do it, but buying at Woolies or even Coles is not that cheap and sometimes it is hit and miss with meat bargains as in colour and packaging.

Shocking outcome: Alleged WA school shooter released on bail with immediate effect!

W When this came the news the other night on the news I thought why is he being given bail? The offences he committed were not petty, what if one of the bullets hit someone and wounded them or worse killed them? When this first happened ( I live in WA) it shocked me. Fast forward to a few days...

Shopper reveals some op shops are 'overcharging' customers for secondhand clothes from Kmart

I have to agree with you on that. When we use to get donations that were KMart etc brands we still had to sell them. We use to sort out the incoming donations into export and local. Some of the stuff that got put in local was insane and the export was the better stuff and the really good stuff...

Shopper reveals some op shops are 'overcharging' customers for secondhand clothes from Kmart

I have previously worked in and op shop here in WA and yes this place sold K Mart clothing close to or if not more than it was really worth. I use to do the pricing when the other (clueless people) were not able to and I would mark anything K Mart etc less than what a person would pay for in the...
