What does a grocery basket worth $100 look like these days? Aussie man's grocery bill shocks the internet

I always buy at Aldis. The savings are amazing and I rarely need to visit any other supermarket.

Irate woman slams 'ridiculous' fine for street parking – was she wrong?

The rear of her car was behind the pole so, yes, she was in the wrong to park there. She could have easily moved forward a foot or so to be clear of the pole. As the Council changed the fine to a caution let's hope the lady learns by this and takes more care when parking.

Is it possible to feed a family of five on a weekly budget of $120? Social media debates

Thirty years ago my budget for 2 adults and 2 kids was $200 a week so I think she must be a marvellous wife and mother to buy enough for a week on only $120! Give him the shopping list and $120 and see what he comes home with! (perhaps request that he does all the meals for that week as well?)

ALDI customer accuses checkout worker of harassing elderly customer who could not pay their grocery bill — “This breaks my heart”

I not only take a list with me but add the price against each one as I put it in my trolley. I then know how much I have to pay before I get to the checkout. Being an aged pensioner means I have a strict budget amount to keep to but still allows me to "spoil" myself occasionally! I shop in...

BEWARE: New text message scam targets Australian bank accounts

I received several texts supposedly from CBA telling me my account had been frozen. As I didn't have an account with them I simply pressed delete, realising the texts were scams. Such mongrel people out there!

Older ALDI shopper shares “scam in action” experience at the supermarket’s checkout, claims she was targeted because of her age

I am puzzled as to how this could happen as, at every Aldi shop I have ever used, the goods are always pushed towards me after scanning, so there is no chance that a would-be scammer could retrieve their item anyway!
