Did this Woolworths website glitch affect you?

Oh dear, the end of the world is coming! Seriously, are people really this dependant on apps and digital catalogues? To be honest, I cannot be bothered looking for specials. I go to the shops and buy what I need instead of what happens to be on special and I do almost all of my shopping at...

Stay vigilant: New 'Medicare' scam text messages are circulating

Surely everybody int the seniors age group would have to be aware after decades of the Medicare card, that it is renewed by Medicare prior to the expiry date shown on the card? If in doubt, it's an easy matter to log on to my.gov and check the information on the Medicare card there.

Brave or Rogue? Sydney 'Legend' Takes on Supermarket Giants over Soaring Food Prices

If you find a dairy farmer who will sell you milk at the farmgate, you would be paying about the same as you pay at the supermarket! I quite enjoy farm-fresh milk with all the cream, but of course, the milk is not pasteurised. There is no reason why you would not be able to attend lifestock...

Brave or Rogue? Sydney 'Legend' Takes on Supermarket Giants over Soaring Food Prices

Thank you for pointing out that supermarkets are not charity organisations. If they were to reduce prices to below cost, as most comments on this page appear to suggest, they would be closing the company would be going down the gurgler in no time. I do not have shares in Woolworths. I do...

Brave or Rogue? Sydney 'Legend' Takes on Supermarket Giants over Soaring Food Prices

Really? Pretty bloody stupid if you ask me and it wouldn't stop me from shopping at Woolies if I was a customer there. I don't subscribe to idiotic campaigns.

Injuries caused by snapping heels from THE ICONIC prompt massive product recall

I guess we never walked in high heels and have one snap off! I can't remember how many heels I lost, but it was definitely more than one.

Financial relief is coming: Centrelink announces cost-of-living increase for JobSeeker, Youth Allowance, and Partnered Parenting Payment

Like untold others, I worked and paid taxes for more than 45 years and because I had foresight and planned for my retirement, I am not entiteld to a single cent of the age pension! Instead, I am still paying taxes! As far as I am concerned, increasing payments for unemployed Australians is way...

This optical illusion can 'reveal' a bit of your personality—what does it say about you?

I tested it a few times. First by staring at it for about a minute and within that time, it changed several times. I also tested it by blinking and it did not change. So somebody is having us on.

Financial relief is coming: Centrelink announces cost-of-living increase for JobSeeker, Youth Allowance, and Partnered Parenting Payment

Here we go again, pensioners are about to receive their second annual pension increase and they whinge like hell! Why? Because people on other welfare payments that are at much lower rates than the pension, are about to receive an increase that has been long overdue!

A detail in this Woolies pasta packet is causing an uproar! Can you spot it?

Oh dear, the world will come to an end because Rigatone pasta was inadvertently packed into Penne bags! Poor Vincenzo's life will never be the same again. The same goes for the poor pregnant halfwit having a climax on tiktok over discovering that the olive bread was in fact raisin toast. If...

Did you know this Costco membership rule? A shopper shares their awkward experience!

My partner and I live different addresses and in different cities, but we have worked out to make Costco work for us. We don't buy much there since most of their goods are overpriced, especially in the fresh food section. So it is simple to divide our purchases into his, mine and occasionally...

Is a Woolworths sandwich worth this 'outrageous' cost? One shopper doesn't think so!

Early last year my partner and I were renovating a unit that I owned and for the first couple of weeks, we used to go to the nearest Coles supermarket to purchase sandwiches. They were $7 for a simple egg sandwich then, but we quickly changed to make our own sandwiches in the morning before...

Want to get rid of unwanted reusable bags? This Coles customer found a brilliant solution!

I did the same when I installed raised beds quite a few years ago. As well as old newspaper back in the day when I still bought newspapers.

Your mail service could be changing! What Australia Post's new proposal might mean for you

Well, I don't see a problem. Those people with friends and relatives that are too old to "to learn these fan danglings mobiles and computers" can still communicate with them via mail. As yet there is no suggestion from Australia Post to cease the mail service. Btw, what exactly is "too old"?
