No you are certainly not being unreasonable. They have no right at all to park in your driveway. It is for you and your guests, no one else. 5 minutes you would turn a blind eye to but not 3 hours.
The best tip is use common sense but unfortunately we don't all have it. But we know what money we have to spend on food and what is likely to be best spent on, ie not junk food. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. I look at some people's trolleys and just shudder.
We should nit be sending any aid overseas until we sort out housing, homelessness and the Dire stste of our hospitals throughout Australia. It is all getting a hell of a lit worse and this government is just not doing anything to address it. A disgrace is what it is.
It also means more people who already have mortgages will not be able to afford them and will have to sell their house and will unlikely be able to find or afford a house to rent. Not helpful at all and I can't imagine where this is all going to end up. Nowhere good that is for sure when it is...
We have been saying for a while now on the forum to always have cash on hand for events such as these and I reckon it is only going to become more necessary. This was a planned one or half anyway but it doesn't take into account all the unexpected ones. We need to get ahead of these ourselves...
Governments are happy to use taxpayers money to bring in big events but never find extra funds for all the necessary health costs needed to meet the needs of Australians
Our council at Gosnells WA still hasn't given us a designated red and green bin alk these years later, we still only have the original green and yellow bin. Way behind most councils. Very frustrating I reckon.
I believe the ATO always get any money owing first. Employees always seem to miss out as do customers and creditors rarely get everything back. The owners can always see the writing on the wall and it is far too late by then. Or they have moved funds which has brought about the situation 🤔
