Prime Minister Albanese reveals a new plan to slash the cost of living for Australians

Noy true ... he has fixed up a lot of the mess left by the previous government and it will take a long time to turn some of that around.

Is your local Centrelink closing soon? Here’s how you can stay ahead and keep receiving assistance

Because websites and the media rely on scare tactics and overly emotive language to get their point across, and sadly people just lap it up! The process has always been the same for public holidays and nothing has changed ... except they are trying to get people riled up and angry!

Selfish parking act sparks outrage: ‘I struggled to get into my car’

It has happened to me too Wendy and I am sorry you were subjected to it. These fools seem to think unless you are in a wheelchair you are not eligible to use the space, but there are many "invisible disabilities" that do require you to use one. If a person has a valid permit it is no one else's...

Selfish parking act sparks outrage: ‘I struggled to get into my car’

Simple really ... you are required, if you don't want to be sued, to obscure any identifying feature when posting a photo. With the amount of vigilante idiots out there these days I hate to think what some fool would do if they saw the car somewhere!

Outrage ensues as delivery driver's 'lazy' attempt to deliver parcel is caught on camera

Yes, I don't understand them not knocking on the door either. Due to mobility issues, I am home 99% of the time and the number of times I have received "attempted delivery" notifications when they either haven't been here at all or have rung the doorbell and run is mind-boggling! Or they dump...

Is your grocery haul shrinking? Discover the 'shrinkflation' phenomenon!

Woolworths doesn't charge by the bag for online shopping ... they charge a flat fee of $2 whether you have 5 bags or 10 or 15 bags, but yes it is more expensive than if you had to buy your 5 bags instore.

7-Eleven's latest decision sparks concern for cash-paying customers

You may want to refresh your knowledge of the law as it is NOT illegal to refuse cash at all, no matter how much we may not like it. What you have stated is simply NOT true. Since you claim to have studied law here is a quote from a legal source...

Australia Post compensates eligible business owners for lost and damaged parcels

The compensation is only being paid to businesses and not customers. The company you bought the items from should have taken it up with Australian Post, sadly.

Shoppers help a woman who was 'distressed' over her $100 grocery bill

I would never allow that to be an excuse for not being kind and helping others.

Aussie woman who opened a sushi restaurant receives unexpected twist after ‘cultural appropriation’ backlash

If you are going to use the word "woke" please use it correctly. It is NOT an insult and those who know what it actually means are proud to be called it. What needs a "cure to wipe it out" is lack of compassion, lack of empathy, ignorance and hatred. Surely you agree with that?

Mum's controversial act leaves people divided: What really happened on her Coles run?

The woman with the screaming child put it online because she is an influencer and was trying to get more followers. She is quite nasty and I have no idea who would even want to follow her.

Centrelink issues holiday warning for millions of Australians

Yep it is typical sensationalist reporting meant to worry people ... hopefully people will see through it.

Huge 40-year investment strengthens Medicare bulk billing—What does it mean for you?

He gets the Metformin as a 2-for-1? My doctor told me they hadn't been approved yet as a 2-for-1 but may be later ... I certainly hope that it has happened if your husband is getting it. Gives me some hope. It may be too that the extended-release Metformin (as opposed to the ordinary ones) are...

Huge 40-year investment strengthens Medicare bulk billing—What does it mean for you?

LOL talk about political ignorance! Look up the voting history of Greens MPs and Senators (and yes it is all publicly available) and you will see they vote with the LNP more often than not. That old lie about the Greens being influential on Labor decisions is an old furphy.

Huge 40-year investment strengthens Medicare bulk billing—What does it mean for you?

The 2-for-1 scripts are actually not necessarily cheaper for the patient either. I am on three prescription medications, two of which I cannot take the generic version of, and I need to be dispensed the "name brand". With my pensioner concession and the previous added premium for the name brand...

Skyrocketing call wait times and pension approvals at Centrelink infuriate Australians

It's not Bill's maths that needs addressing. At 30 June 2020, approximately 4.2 million people (16% of Australia’s total population) were aged 65 and over, so let's presume they are all eligible for a pension. The $228 million spent on labour costs would, if redirected in the manner you suggest...

Woolworths faces lawsuit for allegedly exploiting workers with shift changes

Absolutely correct ... this article only came into my Inbox this morning and it names a lot of the other companies that are guilty of this. The list is quite disturbing to be honest. https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/opinion/2023/12/06/wage-theft-labor

You won't believe the sneaky change one shopper found in Woolworths' digital price tags!

I think people will find it is. A bit of paranoia has crept in with people saying the price would change between putting the item in the trolley and getting to the checkout. They would change overnight when the shop was closed and weekly specials would be programmed to come into effect at store...
