Countless Aussies make this critical mistake on roundabouts—find out if you do!

I know of a lady who insists that you actually STOP and give way at a roundabout. Fortunately we are not close enough friends to ever go anywhere together or I’d have to insist on driving as we have a lot of roundabouts around Launceston, some so small that people struggle to get around them.

Slithering into summer: Heatwave sparks early snake season alert

Ever since I almost trod on one when I was 5 I’ve loathed snakes. We had quite a few on the farm I grew up on but of course it wasn’t illegal to kill them back then. Snakes still give me the horrors & I still think the only good snake is a flattened one. I’m not fond of large spiders either. No...

Aussie linen brand enters administration faces uncertain future

You are spot on Darrellh, you certainly get what you pay for. A lot of my stuff was purchased a long time ago from specialty stores before Kmart, Target etc, and is still in use 50 years later.

Aussie linen brand enters administration faces uncertain future

I haven’t purchased this brand but am familiar with their products. Good quality but very expensive. I buy from Canningvale linen so hopefully nothing will happen to them. It’s sad to see another Aussie company coming to an end.

    FIRST EYE PHONE

My son had one of these when he was tiny. He absolutely loved his pull along phone & the noise it made. I still have it stowed somewhere.

Baby suffers severe burns after man's heinous crime at park

Well said Bella. I felt exactly the same when I saw it on the news last night. Two minutes and an urn of boiling coffee with the man in question is what he deserves, and this thought amazes me as I used to be against any form of violence or retaliation. Don’t know what’s happened to me. 😇

Shoppers in uproar as fan-favourite biscuit has vanished from stores

No Aldi in Tasmania. Might have to buy a few packets, just to sample of course, when we head over in December.

Shoppers in uproar as fan-favourite biscuit has vanished from stores

As long as no one tampers with my personal favourite, double coated chocolate Tim tams I’ll be happy. A lot of the biscuits I used to enjoy are now tasteless so Ive giving up buying them. I am rather partial to Byron Bay cookies, especially Dottie’s & choc chip ones.

How Aussie driver turned $1,028 fine into $0—police officer spills insider tips

Or they overtake you to then brake heavily to turn off right in front of you. Happens a lot in Tassie & makes me a bit cross. A lot of drivers speed up on overtaking lanes then slow back down so you end up stuck behind them. Frustrating!

Centrelink or luxury link? Unravelling the mystery of unemployed man’s million-dollar haul

I often wonder why good people who do everything right are sometimes hounded by Centrelink and yet others seem to pull all sorts of dishonest schemes & get away with it.

'Get a life': Shopper shares disappointing act at a local shopping centre

Keep posting Bella. A lot of us really care about other members and really, posting mean comments really annoys me, it’s so unnecessary. I abhor meanness, racism and don’t set me going on conspiracies. Keep believing in yourself Bella, you’re been through so much.

Trade winds blow trouble: Australia gears up for new biosecurity battles

One of my sisters in law had her dogs on anti depressants a few years back. No wonder living with her & my husband’s brother!

    My ‘Restless Legs’

I also suffer from RLS but it only happens occasionally & isn’t very severe. My dad also suffered. My husband used to be rather amused by my constantly moving legs until he realised it was something that a lot of people suffer from. I do take vitamin D so maybe that’s why it’s not happening...

Online bookseller begins new chapter after recent acquisition—can they turn it around?

I was delighted when I heard that Booktopia had been rescued & I hope that they have a successful future. I often browse their site especially around Christmas & my great niece & nephews birthdays and whenever someone close to me has a new baby. I have purchased a lot of books from them...
