Find out why you’re fueling rise in phone and internet issues

We’re with Internode which is part of TPG/Vodafone as is iiNet. We certainly don’t have any complaints or problems as our son works for them & sorts everything out for us even when they’re not computer related. Don’t know what I’d do without him.

‘There are great choices’: How do Aussies beat cost of living spikes with coffee?

I have a Lavazza coffee pod machine & need that first mug full before I get out of bed, my amazing husband makes it for us both. I usually only have one each day & have found that I can no longer tolerate instant coffee, but I did need another one at lunch today as we met up with my husband’s...

I also love Chanel No 5 & have worn it for over 40 years but had a laugh a few weeks ago when I was reading a magazine interview with the daughter of one of the late Queen’s ladies in waiting who told her daughter to always wear Chanel perfume but never No 5 because it’s the tarts perfume! I was...

Australia Post expands delivery options for holiday rush

Isn’t it only letter deliveries that were reduced? The parcel delivery van is around every day as usual, but then so is the regular postie. We get hardly anything to the letter box as bills etc come in online, so I don’t pay much attention, as long as my parcels get delivered.

You won't believe the one question these people googled after their election results!

I’d love to know Penny4. I’m rather concerned for the sane people who live in the USA. Maybe everyone here loves guns everywhere, the state women’s reproductive health will be in let alone those who are unfortunate enough to endure a miscarriage if they live in a red state & so on. We have an...

I’d leave too if I was unfortunate enough to live in the USA! I can’t the mayhem he’s going to cause.

Driving into the sunset: 97-year-old fights to keep her licence despite failed tests

It’s not discriminatory in my opinion it’s because a lot of older people experience issues, especially with mobility. I’m still mobile at 72 but I’m already thinking about when I’ll cease driving. I’ve seen too many aged people who can barely walk or turn their head get in the drivers seat &...

Me too Pommyoz, I’m going to be a real hoon & terrorise people, my husband’s bound to take it off me. 😂😂

The secret to flawless, youthful skin that celebrities swear by!

Probably just as well it’s expensive. I’m sure I’d most likely burn myself or end up looking worse, besides I’ve earned my minor wrinkles & I still complain that my lovely grey hair has refused to arrive. One of my friends washes her makeup off with soap & water, doesn’t use any form of...

The $4 Kmart 'must-have' everyone's been waiting for is finally back—get it before it’s gone again!

Yes, we used hand sanitizer when we were out & about. Most of my friends did so the arrival of Covid didn’t make a difference.

Avoid this common green bin error that could undermine your gardening efforts

Except in in Launceston where we’re not allowed to put food scraps in plastic bags so I use my paper shopping bags & unfortunately it’s collected fortnightly. They empty garbage bins every week & with recycling & FOGO we usually have one bag of rubbish each week.

Aussie mum receives shocking fines after her dream holiday: 'It's very strange'

Tasmanians are except when they turn 70. I think you can serve if you want too but I’m a true Libra, can usually see both sides of the argument so find it hard to make a decision, though look out if you’re a rapist or murderer, but being over 70 I don’t have to worry about it anymore.

    Book recommendations

What is the books title anneh.63? Would be interesting to know if any of us have read it. I love historical fiction & once read a new author’s book set in Tasmania. I found it to be absolutely terrible but the reviews were amazing & the author won a prize for her work so I loaned it to a few of...

I haven’t long finished Killers Of The Flower Moon & found it absolutely riveting. Leonardo DiCaprio made the movie of the same name but I haven’t watched it yet. I have so many books to read both on my bookshelf & Ereader but I plan on spending a lot of time reading during my six weeks in...

Deadly infections revealed to be skyrocketing globally, posing risks beyond the common cold

Hope all goes well Suzanne rose. My son & his girlfriend both have Covid but are doing okay. My boy is working from home but was in the office the day before he tested positive & travelled by train so a few more people in Perth may be infected. Fortunately his vaccines were up to date.
