How much have prices gone up? Alarming grocery haul photo circulating online

Oh how I miss Aldi! We live in Tassie now, so no Aldi. I had occasion to visit my family In Bris. last year and could've cried at the difference in prices. I keep a very detailed record of my groceries and I bought a few items for our dinner and checked out what they cost me at Aldi and what I...

Will paper receipts soon be a thing of the past? Kmart is going (mostly) digital using new 'smart' Aussie technology

No thank you, I'll pass on that. Woolworths have it all over them. I get receipts via my Everyday Rewards card. I don't and won't have a mobile banking app until I'm absolutely forced to. The more we go along the more we are exposed to hackers - no thanks to that!

Meghan Markle mocks her royal protocol attempt with an exaggerated curtsey and describes ‘surreal’ meeting with the Queen

Haven't watched it - won't be either - we'll hear it ad nauseum everywhere. I just wonder, after they have "revealed" all the "secrets" of the Royal Family - where do they go from there? Their content is finite.

What are your new year's resolutions?

Almost 2 years ago instead of saying I'm going to lose weight, I specified "I am going to lose weight by not eating potato crisps for a month" I have not had a (not even one!) potato crisp since then. I have lost 12kg because I was so proud of myself by achieving my "potato crisp" goal I was...

'This is what's wrong with this world': Mum left fuming over parking lot note

Sooooo true! I have some shopping centres I refuse to go to because the parking spaces are not only so tight but the room to reverse and/or drive between them is ridiculous too.

Good news for pension recipients! Millions of Australians could see a cash boost to help with the cost of living

No one seems to say A WORD about the unemployed being asked to fill some of the zillions of job vacancies. The job vacancies can't ALL be specialised jobs that can't be trained for.

Shopper slams Woolworths’ new reusable tote bag: ‘They’re ripping after one use.’

A really simple solution is to take your own canvas or nylon bags.

Your Say Sunday Poll: Do you believe ‘you get what you pay for’?

If you buy from the likes of Aldi who seem to have a lower profit margin, the cheaper item is just as good. I bought a bullet mixer from them considerably cheaper and its been dropped a couple of time, grinded things it really shouldn't be, and its still perfect. Just because its cheap doesn't...

This little-known Woolworths hack can help you save BIG on your groceries!

I would just flat out go to Aldi IF we had one in Tassie.

Woolworths just made grocery shopping a whole lot easier and more eco-friendly with their new service

Good on you Woolies! We (oldies) had it right. We had string bags and baskets, boxes for other items. All shops had a stack.

Woolworths' new 99-cent reusable shopping bag is sustainable, but there's an issue…

I have made my own for years. I use rip-stop nylon. I am still using my original bags from 2003.

Your favourite childhood lolly just got a makeover! Allen's announce MAJOR CHANGE in jelly beans recipe

I hope there are a lot of vegans to buy these. I won't be.

Coles prices prompt cost-of-living conversations among Australians

I keep a very detailed database of my grocery shops and I'm finding most items have gone up by at least .50c lately. My shops have gone up from average $120 to $180

Locals want this creek renamed over concerns of racism. Do you agree?

I am currently reading 1984 - we are going in the same direction. You cannot say what you think now and soon you won't even be able to think what you think.

The market for old phones is booming! Could your old phone be worth thousands?

I don't say anything because I think social media is conversational more than educational. It still annoys me but I wouldn't correct someone who is talking to me, so I don't correct either.

An Aussie woman is disputing her $1000 driving offence, but some people think she deserved it – do you agree?

Phone, food, rolling machine - whatever. You're hands and attention were not on the road pay the fine and pay attention next time.

The market for old phones is booming! Could your old phone be worth thousands?

Love the grammar police. I'm not being sarcastic because I do! I am totally on the point of screaming "its not me and whoever - its whoever and I" Grrrrrrrr!

Supermarkets are changing for the better - YOU decide what they sell

In Tassie there is an IGA "chain" called "Hill Street" they are really great shops with lots of local Tassie produce, VERY FRESH fruit and veg., and a wonderful deli. The prices may be a little higher but if you buy something its not dead by the next day. THIS is how you compete with C & W!

Woolworths customers are fuming over this 'constant' issue – do you agree?

At least Aldi has service and their products are cheaper. If Woolies and Coles were cheaper I wouldn't worry too much about myself replacing their staff.
