Discover the $2.30 tile cleaning ‘secret’ that this Aussie swears by

There are more and more products now that do a good job without using bleach. It's very bad for the environment and especially bad for people if you don't wear gloves and a mask against the fumes. If you have a septic it kills all the good enzymes which you need to break down the poo etc.

Bunnings under fire for its controversial and 'tacky' Christmas decoration

My first Xmas here, 1978, we went to a party at a Swiss families home in the Dandenong Hills. All the children were waiting in the back yard and a tractor came up the hill with Santa driving it and a sack of pressies on his back. It was fabulous! Having grown up with St Nicholas in Switzerland...

Why is this hardworking grandmother's story sparking outrage among Australians?

It's great she is well enough to continue working at her age but at the same time, there are young people who would like a job. People still working at that age are really taking away jobs from the young ones. Perhaps they should consider volunteer work. Just a thought.

Aussies’ uproar over Iced VoVo biscuits: ‘Boy was I disappointed’

Did Kmart just add $4 plywood coffins to their inventory?!

Halloween is actually celebrated in many countries but under different names. We celebrate a form of it in Switzerland in Feb and it's been going on for centuries there. Children don’t dress up but men dress up in quite scary costumes roaming through the towns scaring evil spirits away. This...

Mum unknowingly encounters enormous huntsman spider while feeding possum

I really feel sorry for the huntsman and the bad rap they get. They are more afraid of us than many are of them. They are natures answer to pesticides as they keep our homes, if allowed indoors, to rid us of cockroaches and other insects. Most spiders are good in this respect.

Grandmother urges people to always carry bandages after life-threatening snake bite

Thank you for this very informative article. I grew up being taught to cut and suck out venom and then tie off above the bite. I've heard since that was wrong now but never knew the correct procedure. Thanks again

    Bacon, Corn and Rice Frittata

Monterey, pepper Jack and fiesta blend cheeses.??? I'm certainly not hopping on a plane to the States to get my cheeses. I would have thought you'd have replaced that with Aussie cheeses.
