How do you like your Vegemite? See the image that sparked a debate!

After living here for 45 years, I have finally acquired a taste for Vegemite but very sparingly. QUESTION - can you use it in any cooking such as gravy or is it too strong for that and if you can , suggestions please and quantity.

Want to live longer? A doctor reveals 10 surprising foods - including chocolate and wine!

Love, love, love ALL 10!! We have most of them every week. As healthy as we can possibly be at age 80 & 73, but we do eat quite a bit of fish and seafood living where we do and occasionally some lovely red meat. I do feel sorry for those who are missing out who think most of it is "junk food"...

‘Your dollar doesn’t go very far anymore’: Australia's pensioners in danger due to rental crisis

My heart goes out to all those pensioners. These are the people who worked hard all their lives to make this country what it is and then to end up hardly being able to support themselves saddens me. We were in the same situation a year ago. Our son is a builder and built us a home out of his...

Life-saving heart disorder pill gets massive price cut

It's been reduced for my husband for sometime already. Could be as he had a heart attack some years ago. Good to hear it's dropped in price for others. I agree with Knell, the profits they make are ridiculous.

Discover the $2.30 tile cleaning ‘secret’ that this Aussie swears by

This mum's $700 weekly expenses raise eyebrows online

We have one big shop a month which amounts to around $350 and the other 3 weeks about $100 each week and there are just two of us. Prices seem to rise each week.

Mum who ditched toilet paper for rags causes massive stir

I remember those days. I made my own monthly pads when I started working and my daughters continued but were lucky as you can buy them at many health food stores. Not sure about pads as replacement dunny paper. Soaking in a bucket reminds me of nappies years ago. Been there no thanks
