    Our Aussie animals...

Totally agree Ted...I call these people "manipulators", not photographers...what they end up with is no longer a photo. My theory is, if I can't get it right from the camera, I'm not doing it right. My post processing extends to a slight sharpen (if needed) and a straighten of a horizon if there...

    Magpie Rescue

Magpie Rescue Not strictly a Photography topic but I thought it would fit here. This happened to me last year when I was at the dam shooting birds...gave me quite a buzz... The first pic shows the bird in question, not the one I rescued but one of the same species. The second, my little story...

Submit your fascinating facts to feature in the newsletter!

Did you know that Bees can recognise human faces...(Probably why I haven't been stung while doing macros of them, they are used to me...LOL) Bees may have brains the size of poppy seeds, but they're able to pick out individual features on human faces and recognize them during repeat...

    Rose and one extra

Thanks Xe, it's hard some days but I always get up and get on with things. Usually pretty second hand by day's end but at least I've had a go. Life is too short to sit around being depressed. I think I've only seen about 2 hours of day time TV since I had to give up work 19 years ago...

    Greater

Thank you bugsytom, yes we love it as well, A pity they moved so much up to the Monarto Zoo but it had to be done as it's the best for the larger animals.

    Greater

Greater This is "Greater", one of the two beautiful Flamingos in the Adelaide Zoo. You might remember, some years ago, some morons broke into the Zoo and beat him badly with sticks. He died a few years ago. I think his partner has also gone now. Sadly there is an embargo on the import of...
