This man nearly lost $3 million to a scam with just a single text – Here's how to protect yourself

He's lucky he had a real person to reach out to. With so many branches closing there doesn't seem to be anyone other than a call centre to reach out to these days.

Passengers bug out over airline's unexpected in-flight pest control spray!

Used to happen on every flight when I was flying to Europe regularly in the 90's and early 2000's. Certainly not a new thing.

    Sunday roast memories

Sunday roast memories Mum would put the Sunday roast on before we went to church, then we came home to turn the roast and put the veggies on. Mum would cook up apple pies and a sponge cake on Saturday, and we would have the pie after the roast, then Sunday night just have a light put together...

    Who wrote the Bible?

I think everyone should read 'Lilith' by Nikki Marmery. It's fiction, like most of the bible, but gives you an interesting point of view.

    Loved them!

Loved them! We had one when I was growing up, a big one with red diamonds on it, then Mum got a teak wood table and we all had to very careful of it. I also remember going to the Greek cafes when I moved to Melbourne with their Laminex tables and the juke box selections next to each table!

Firefighters warn residents over hidden fire hydrants: ‘They don’t understand’

Whenever I've moved into a new home, I've never had the new home package that sometimes comes from the shire tell me about the hydrant and its importance. I reckon this would be a first step as I've heard from some firefighters who have had to grapple with gardens built over the hydrant that...

    Chicken pot pies

This looks absolutely delicious, but I'm confused about whether you cut each pastry sheet into 8 or each one into 4? Sorry, bit of a slow learner... Just can't work out from the photo whether each is a lunch size piece or a snack size one. Thanks for the delicious recipe

I know it seems like a big impost to many of you, but for me with PTSD and preferring not to have a chatty check out person, I'm still way happier with the self check out. Just sayin'.

Coles product causes uproar: 'Check the ingredients on your medicine'

That's brilliant! I buy Ki cold and flu as I can't take normal ones because of the blood pressure meds I'm on, so now I know Coles brand is another alternative for me. The Ki costs quite a lot so Coles may be cheaper for me.

Two cheeses at risk of extinction, scientists warn

It just beggars belief! The EU has imposed so much rubbish on natural farmers over the past couple of decades it has made the food part of a production line rather than a labour of love.
