it’s terrible how people are suffering. I get so angry when I see my local baker’s delight and Miss Maud throwing end of day products in the bin. The staff are not allowed to sell it at a discounted price. Absolutely disgusting

Cases of meat theft skyrocket in supermarkets

My sentiments exactly. If the reduced the price of meat especially instead of so much money on security then the supermarkets might just work out that there is no so much theft. It certainly won’t alleviate it but it would bring it down substantially. When will they realise that people need to eat!

Struggling to claim your age pension? Centrelink explains why thousands face agonising waits

I think that you are a little out of order as you are no better when it comes to respect Alan. There was no need to insult the person by telling them to ‘take a bex love and a little nap or put down the bottle’. How rude and condescending. Look at yourself before insulting others

It’s not just Supermarkets that waste food. At one shopping centre in Perth, Bakers delight staff have to throw all in sold bread etc. in the bin. They do this in front of customer. Discover the 'world-first' Cadbury treat that just hit Coles shelves

If it’s anything like their chocolate, I’ll give it a miss thank you. They keep bringing out these new flavours which aren’t that popular instead of going back to the tried, tested and loved original recipe. You know, the one with the “Glass and a half of milk in every block”! They lost me when...

Woolworths makes a shocking move ahead of Australia Day

Well said. So many people forget that it wasn’t just the aboriginals that suffered. Innocent people were torn away from their homes, families and country just for trying to survive. May I add that where would the aboriginals be now if Australia had not been colonised. Could they forgo all the...

Outraged farmers threaten revolt after supermarket giants rake in billion-dollar profits

Don’t buy from the big supermarkets. Make a stand for our Aussie farmers and buy local. Those farmers should also start selling from the farm gate. I’m sure we would all like to buy the best and freshest produce available.

With 13 interest rate rises since May 2022 now could be a good time to take advantage of a term deposit

Spot on. Who has that much laying around. What about the ones that do have a nest egg, abet a little smaller. Let’s say half or even less. What would they get if they put it in a term deposit? Diddly squat I’d say

Is Coles ripping you off? See how this new recycling scheme impacts shoppers

What a rorte! I work in a not for profit company in WA that does containers for change. I can clarify that even though the customer gets 10 cents for their container, the company is not doing out of the goodness of there heart. They also get paid at least 6c per container for being a collection...

Inquiry reveals Australia’s cost-of-living crisis taking toll on workers

This may seem a little racist and I know it is not her fault, but there is no other way of saying this……. At least she had a roof over her head while we have thousands of people, including families, who don’t even have that!! Stop bringing in migrant workers and start making these ‘Dole...

Fury ensues as Optus outage shines light on the risks of a cashless society

Why should we the people have to worry about providing fingerprints or facial recognition. That would just give the powers that be yet another way to ‘OWN’ us. Cash is King so to speak!!!! We all need to just put our foot down and take back control of own lives!!!!

Is your milk contaminated? ALDI shoppers express concern over ‘gross’ discovery!

I don’t mind paying more for milk as long as I know that it is going directly to the dairy farmers and not into a supermarkets profit margin. I stopped buying buying supermarket brand milk for that reason as well
