I was only trying to help - it said “Housing Sauce” and “Coen” and “Geat” and all these have been corrected. That’s not “Grammar Police”, that is just a comment to fix typos and provide readability. Good that it is now correct!

This is a tad unkind. I also saw the typos, and it took from the recipe. I was wondering what Housing Sauce referred to, Deano31 made a reasonable comment re correcting the numerous typos. An edit to the recipe post after Deano31 made his comment removed all the errors. Let’s all be kind.

I purchased diced steak in woolies to make a stir fry (I don't eat red meat) when I cooked it, I had half a pan of water.
What sort of beef do you use. my Grandson was far from impressed.

When I cook a stir fry, I normally purchase rump or blade steak. I cut it into strips, and velvet it. I find it makes a great difference to the meat. For those interested, just google: velveting nagi

I usually use rump steak and slice it thin myself. I find diced beef if you use a lot of oil or butter to cook you will get water in the pan.

For sliced or diced beef I use olive oil spray.

If I have time I will velvet the steak or chicken for stir-fry
  • Sprinkle 3/4 tsp bi-carbonate soda for every 250g sliced beef cuts
  • Toss with fingers, leave for 30 minutes
  • Rinse, pat off excess water using paper towel
  • The beef will be really tender and soft,

Thanks Suzanne, I will try that, I must admit I can't cook red meat unless it's a leg of lamb in the oven. 💐
