General Discussion Thread - 03.10.2025 PM

How ya goin’, lovelies? Another week has flown by, and would you believe it—we’ve just wrapped up the first week of October! The days are getting a little longer, the weather’s teasing us with warmth one minute and chills the next.

I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather lately (curse you, seasonal sniffles!), so I’ve been taking every excuse I can to sneak in naps between my usual busybee life. 😴 Honestly, nothing beats curling up under the doona with the blinds half-drawn and just letting yourself do nothing. It’s the kind of pause I didn’t know I needed.

And since I’ve been spending more time under the covers, I figured it was the perfect time to start a new show—and let me tell you, I hit the jackpot. Just yesterday, I started bingeing The Nanny, that fabulous '90s sitcom with the big hair, bigger attitude, and even bigger laughs. Fran Drescher has me wheezing. I haven’t laughed that hard in ages!

It reminded me of my all-time comfort shows—those feel-good, put-it-on-anytime kind of series. Modern Family is one of mine, as is Fresh Off the Boat. I swear I could quote whole episodes from memory. There’s something magical about shows that feel like a warm hug, especially when you’re not feeling 100%.

So today, I want to know: What are your go-to comfort shows? Whether it’s an old-school classic or something you’ve discovered recently, I’d love to hear what brings you comfort when life gets a bit too life-y. Share your picks in the forum—I might even add a few to my to-watch list!

My go-to for reruns would have to be The West Wing. (I secretly pretend I’m CJ)
