Hurstville Railway Station Concourse

Remember the Hurstville Railway Station? This photo was taken in 1947—when the concourse was lined with corner shops and milk bars selling Streets ice cream, Nestlé chocolate, and all the classics. A quick stop for a treat before catching the train was part of everyday life. Who remembers grabbing a snack at Hurstville Station? Share your nostalgic stories with us!

Been there a million times, starting in the late 1960s. Looked a lot different in 1947!

But 3d for a double cone? Some upmarket ice creameries charge more than $20 for a double cone these days!
