University of Melbourne researchers have created an app that makes screening for cerebral palsy easier and faster.

Parents can now record short videos of their baby’s movements at home and send them to specialists for review. This can be life-changing, especially for families in rural areas who might struggle to access hospital appointments.

Early detection means treatment can start sooner, improving outcomes for children. Isn’t it wonderful how technology can bring healthcare closer to families?

The UK’s National Health Service has found that AI software can dramatically improve recovery for stroke patients. The system quickly reads brain scans, helping doctors make faster treatment decisions.

Time is critical during a stroke, and the tech has already been used more than 60,000 times. Early results show recovery rates could triple with this system in place.

Love waking up to read my Seniors newsletter. Thank you all for your time and efforts.

I have always said that there is or had been other life in the universe. Maybe in the far future earth will be like Mars and a new planet will form with life on it. Am I crazy.

All wonderful (and interesting) news. Thank you 🌈

I’m so glad that the vaccine for koalas has been developed. I’ve been concerned about them for ages, and wish that we had them running wild in Tasmania. Loved the story on the iguana, they are amazing little creatures. Thanks again SDC for everything that you do, especially lifting our spirits every Thursday.

And a big thumbs down to the bastard arsonist who set fire to the range where there’s a koala habitat, let’s hope he or she gets caught.😢
