@sdc are you sure this member isn't an actual scammer 🤔 every single one of their post is scam connected and every single post want you to sign up !!!

I definitely wouldn't sign up even though they have been a member since 2023 every single post is like this

Unless he is a legitimate professional who sdc can vouch and guarantee our safety

Thanks for raising your concern @Suzanne rose 🙏 We’ve looked into this member carefully, and while we understand their posts may look a bit repetitive, they are in fact focused on sharing scam warnings and resources to help keep our community safe.

They’ve been a member here since 2023 and we’ve not found any evidence of them trying to scam or sign people up to anything unsafe. Their posts are intended as public service announcements rather than promotions.

That said, we always encourage members to use their own judgement, and if you ever see anything that looks suspicious, please do report it to us so we can investigate straight away. Your safety and trust are our top priority here at SDC 💙

@Suzanne rose – I saw your reply to my post just as I was about to share NAB’s Scam Awareness podcast link yesterday. I hope you’ll find it useful. And if you’d prefer not to click links, you can always visit their website directly:

It’s good that you are cautious awareness is the first step to protection.

@sdc – I’d appreciate if Suzanne’s post could be reviewed/removed, as it is filled with screenshots of my earlier posts, which could unintentionally give readers the wrong impression that I am a scammer.

I’ve seen a lot of scam posts and reported them on here but I didn’t feel you were a scammer, hence why you weren’t reported by me.Plus I always go into peoples avatars to check them out. I hope Suzanne does delete her posts also🌞

Thank you for your reply. It’s interesting that @Suzanne rose suspected I might be a scammer, when in fact my posts are intended to help seniors stay vigilant against scams. She was right to raise her concern with @sdc if she suspected me, but I do wish she had done so via DM rather than copying and pasting so many of my posts into the feed. My only intention here is to share awareness and help protect the community.

If I’m not mistaken, around 80% of SDC members are retired or semi-retired, while scammers tend to be much younger often in their mid-20s. Perhaps @sdc could consider applying a simple AI screening algorithm for new member registrations. This could help flag highrisk profiles before approval and reduce the chances of scammers slipping through.

I've deleted the post.

Why I reported you was for sdc to make sure you were a legitimate member.

I saw you have been a member for 2 years but have only ever seen you posting about scam watch and nothing else which to me was very suspicious .

No harm was done, sdc posted yiu were legitimate..

I would never have dm you, would you DM a scammer and believe their reply ?

There are a few of us on here that will report if something is suspicious 🤔 and that is why we feel nearly 100% safe on here.

Cheers

Lesson learnt that maybe not everyone we think is a scammer is one. But I would do it again if I thought something wasn't right..

I thought it was strange how he only post about scams and ways to protect us.

His picture looks like a business man.
