Elastics

Who remembers playing elastics in the old school yard? Elastics was the go-to playground game across Australia—simple, stretchy, and endlessly fun. All you needed was a long loop of elastic, two mates to hold it high, and a good dose of rhythm and creativity.

Whether you were hopping, stepping, or flying through those patterns, elastics turned any recess into a stage. Do you have fond memories of elastics or other games you played at school?

I remember this when I was at school and the girls playing this game, which was simple to set up and kept the students moving in break times. How times have changed. Activities such as this has given time for being on screen and behind a monitor to play games.

Poison ball was played at primary school. Rounders too. Another game the name I can't recall. You'd ask questions about who's got the ball, is she fat or is she tall, who's got the ball, this was in the mid 60's

I must say I'm not familiar with the game but you'd be accused of body shaming these days. The little darlings have to have everything sugar coated, we can't hurt their precious feelings 🤧
