General Discussion Thread 18.07.2025

Hey friends! It’s me again—your little warm corner of the world, checking in this Friday arvo. 🤗 This week, I gave in to a simple craving: tonkatsu and miso soup. Nothing fancy, just cozy, and comforting. It reminded me how small joys can be so satisfying. It was exactly what I needed after a loooong week.

So now I’m wondering… What’s one comfort meal that never fails to lift your mood? Whether it’s ready-to-eat meals, mum’s cooking, or something you make just for yourself, I’d love to hear it! Share yours here—someone might get dinner inspiration! You can also tell us about how your week went, I'd personally love to hear it! 💙

My Mum made the best savoury mince with vegetables and Dad was a winner with the best roast dinner and lots of vegetables and York shire pudding if it was roast beef.

Any home cooked roast dinners. Pork, lamb, seasoned roast beef & chicken, with gravy over everything.
You can't beat them.
Then having "Bubble & Squeak" with any on purpose left overs the next night on hot toast.

Shepherds Pie
I tried this just recently with a friend when we went out to a '50s retro-themed diner. It was amazing!
