General Discussion Thread 27.05.2025

G’day, friends! Some mornings are soft and easy, and others ask a little more grace from us—so however you’re showing up today, know that YOU matter. Take a deep breath, maybe pour something warm, and let this space be a little bright spot in your morning. 🤗 So, here’s a little something to think about today: What’s one small thing that brought you joy recently?

It could be a kind word, a blooming flower, or even the smell of your favourite breakfast. We'd love to read yours!

My great granddaughter just turned 4 and had her 1 birthday party the joy on her face seeing the icecream cake with candles was a joy to see

Adding a small shot of caramel syrup to my morning coffee.
Bellissimo. ☕

Catching up for coffee with girlfriends that are going through hard times

seeing a willy wag tail yesterday down along where we put Mums ashes, today is the 3rd anniversary of her passing and she knew Willy Wag Tails gave me great joy I always loved watching them frolic about and their song is gorgeous

The sound of bird wings flapping as they whoosh past.

I got a good report from my doctor, "see you in six months" 😀

A wild kookaburra on my balcony railing , allowing me to stroke it.

Our cockerel crowing after we let him out. lf we didn't put him in at night he would wake us all up at 4.30am and the hens laying eggs but most of all seeing my 5 month great grand-daughter for the first time last Friday plus my grandson and his lovely wife . They're on the plane now flying back to Sydney.

A male stranger paid for my coffee in a local shop for no reason. It made my day.

So many things! However, we get fabulous sunsets in the Wheatbelt and I love them. Last night's was so beautiful and they ALWAYS make me smile and stop and just take time to watch.

Not sure if this is "funny" but I have to tell
After surgery my carer suggested that for shopping to try Direct to Boot and she would pick up on her way to my home visit. Lets give it a try - ok - we placed my grocery order at Coles online and time etc for pick up. Was anxiously waiting to see what or if I received. Imagine when my carer returned on the second day and had a funny look on her face. she never said anything just put on the table for me to put away - can you imagine when I found 4 hands of bananas - with 5 - 7 bananas in each hand. We had ordered 4 bananas and instead received 4 hands now I have 26 pieces of fruit. Lucky she was able to take some to work to share BUT ?????

Two lovely roses from close friends.

My husband and I were minding our 2 Grandchildren. In a cuddly moment with Grandson, 5, he said “I think I’m falling in love with you Pappy”. My husband was brought to tears and so was I.

My 2 and 4 yr old grandaughters playing naked in the pooling water in the garden on Mothers Day. I’d post a photo but my 30 year old daughter was also naked and showing them how to splash and slip and slide. So special and so much laughter and joyful sounds!

Waking up every morning to find our 21 year old cat Bronte still breathing. ❤️❤️❤️
